The Official Tottenham Hotspur thread [Vol 14]
Discussion

Unfortunately Liverpool seem to have a large percentage of fans who don't really understand football to a great extent.
It’s what happens with the plastic fans. It’s been displayed on here time and time again, there’s no point having a discussion they simply don’t understand football. The Liverpool plastics in particular seem to have an odd obsession with Tottenham, even on their own thread they spend more time talking about Tottenham than their own supposed club.
Odd bunch but for the most part I find it impossible to take them seriously.
Anyway congrats to West Ham, it’s going to be a bloody long summer though isn’t

I thought mocking Kanes speech impediment completely unprovoked showed the class of some of their posters. :

But don’t worry, Nunez could be the biggest threat to Haaland next season right?
Well, at least you've finally grasped the difference between 'could' and 'will' I suppose. As I pointed out previously, with the uncertainty around Harry's future and Toney banned for 8 months I'm happy to stand by that statement yes. And at the end of the day as good as he is Harry has only finishied top once in the past 7 seasons..
Wonder how it works when he breaks Shearer's record.
"Yeah well he hasn't won a league cup has he?"
It must be a real challenge trying to talk down Kane at the same time saying he needs to go elsewhere. It must be draining being a plastic with no original thoughts of your own.
I suppose that's why people glory hunt in the first place. To fit in.

They'll all pass forwards when Frosty is finished with them.

Ange Postecoglou on keeping players happy:
"Everyone keeps saying I have to keep everyone happy. Am I supposed to go around making them cups of tea or buy their wife some flowers? They should be happy with a smile on their face every day because they’re doing what they love & representing a fantastic football club."

Assuming that the players are (i) married, to (ii) women doesn’t foster a very inclusive atmosphere. Ange Postecoglou on keeping players happy:

I understand we were still half-decent at that point, but when Kane was out injured with his poppadum ankle for periods of time in 2018/2019 we still scored a decent amount of goals, won a lot of games and even got to a CL final. There are some, including me, who still say we made a mistake starting him in that game.
If you took him out of the team, tactics change and other players step up. I want him to stay desperately, he's unique in world football, but what will be etc. and we'd manage.

Don't panic, Kane is staying. I think he is going to have to adapt his game a little because Frosty will not want him dropping deep as a playmaker. Frosty's system is high press with wingers providing cut backs for a centre forward or attacking mids making late runs to run on to. He won't want Kane dropping deep and spraying passes around he will want him on the end of things. I also think Son could really find his mojo again in that system.

Me too. I don't think putting Kane in to start helped the team at all. If you took him out of the team, tactics change and other players step up. I want him to stay desperately, he's unique in world football, but what will be etc. and we'd manage.
Kane should have been on the bench that night. Instead, he played and was invisible.

Is this the state of the world currently? It’s pretty fked up if so.
