I’m glad we won, we had all the luck and I don’t think we’re even sure how we did it,

As a red I thought I’d pop in here and tell it how it is

You’ve played amazing all season and you’ve won by Christmas
Very stylishly I might add as well

Definite penalty and probably a red card.

But then...

Dave saves. So not a forgone conclusion you would have scored.

Hey ho. We had a bit of luck and managed to outscore you in the end. We took the 3 points. You’ll win the title so it matters not much at all other than the usual bragging rights for a few days. Manchester is Red.

Manchester May be red today but it’ll turn back to blue soon smile
The element of luck is what makes football great. We didn’t get what we deserved yesterday but there’s been plenty of days when we’ve been lucky.
In the old days we were crap and often beat Utd in derbies.
Now we’re better than Utd but we lost to them.
Que sera sera
I prefer it now smile

No chance on Tuesday. I fully expect us to be 4-0 up at 90minutes and concede in injury time.

The first half of the match over on the Utd thread was quite funny yesterday. Most of them were greeting the end of the world and having a right moan at Sanchez and Pogba.
No backbone but, unfortunately, they did have the last laugh.

can't disagree - if you had won the game it would have stuck in the craw for it being done on derby day and you would have been applauded for doing so - you've been the best team all season by a country mile and frankly I didn't see that coming after our dismal first half display.

both sides were a shadow of their first half selves and a draw would have been a fairer result esp after Young's tackle.

as for tuesday, if salah plays its a different game - it was a different game when he went off last week and I think you have a better chance of progressing regardless of who you get in the semi final if you get through. against any other team i'd say liverpool are through but not you lot.

yes saturday delayed the inevitable and you deserve it, i hope you beat the bins tomorrow as I think you can genuinely win it.

He came on in 2nd half and didn’t seem the worse for his “dive”, so hopefully he’ll be playing.
I am not hopeful on progressing though.

I don't accept that at all. Referees are supposed to be impartial and call each incident as it comes.

I don’t know if I can watch tonight. I’m sure the current City team can score 3 or more goals but they can also concede.
The City teams of old have conditioned me to get excited but be dissapointed ultimately.

I think it's a testament to this City team that we're going into the game 3-0 up whilst most of us Liverpool fans do not feel assured at all of going through!

I'm not a City fan at all, however the football they have played this year has been incredible, have watched all their televised games and enjoyed! Best team by far, and deserve to at least get to the semi's of the CL. I will be 100% behind City in this game, C'mon CITY! 4-0 win!

Liverpool have been pretty decent too this season.

The two most attacking teams going head to head winner takes all, What's not to like ?

Should be a cracker unless Liverpool score early doors.

They're 17 points behind City, which is miles behind if you want to challenge.

& they have also lost twice to Liverpool already this season.

League form just goes out the window with games like these.

I'm not a Liverpool fan btw . & I have backed city to win tonight in 90 minutes

Yes it does, I was just pointing out the league performance and points tally they have achieved, IMO they deserve to get to the semi's and I sure hope they do!

Champs League is the best of the best teams, and City are the best team to represent England going in to the final 4.

I would say the football we're (LFC) capable of playing is just as good as City. I think the difference between City and everyone else in the league this season has been 1) the sheer number of great attacking players they have in the starting line up that are capable of getting through stubborn defences 2) the massive strength in depth they have. They've hardly noticed Aguero not playing much this season until last Weds.
