We do need to get things done early though.
The Premier League summer transfer window doesn't actually open until Wednesday. I'm not sure how other clubs have managed to sign players already but I agree we need to get business done asap.If that's who Big Ange wants then pay the fee or find a better keeper for the same money. Hopefully Levy doesn't have his fingerprints on this one or it will drag on well into the January window.

The Media failed last week to sell Harry Kane…. Luckily now Mbappe has written a letter so they get another go this week. Jesus wept!
Ooh lets discuss who's better out of Mbappe or Kane just so NRS can get his knickers in a twist mickk said:
Not sure why he'd chose us over a CL team so not convinced, seemed to be injured a lot for Leicester.
Someone was arguing last season that the pull of London overrides any footballing aspirations. Apart from City every player would choose a London based club over any other club. I was pretty sceptical then and remain so. The only reason I could see Maddison choosing you is that he is likely to play a lot more than in a State sponsored team once they start splashing the cash around Europe. LF5335 said:

Playing CL games will be new to a lot of their players, manager and staff. Wednesday/Sunday repeat can take a big toll on a squad.

I don't think that the Newcastle squad is yet at a stage where they are guaranteed CL every season. Chelsea and Liverpool will surely improve and Spurs have no midweek football next season.

I agree that Newcastle will find next season very tough, but I think you will all find it tough to get back into the top spots. As a throwaway, I s]think Howe might struggle to keep his job next year if Newcastle struggle in the PL, as they’re likely to get a very tough baptism in the CL and getting out of the group could be very tricky. 8 into 3 doesn't go.

Everyone will find it tough to qualify for CL next season, apart from Citeh. Arsenal, United and Newcastle all have CL games which they didn't have to contend with last season. Brighton have European football for the first time ever. Villa have European football next season. Spurs & Chelsea have no European football at all. Liverpool have Nunez.

The world Cup break would have also helped the 'smaller' teams as it'd have given alot of squads a chance to regroup/refresh etc. As opposed to teams losing most of the first team for the extended period.8 into 3 doesn't go.
They'll also suffer next season as they won't get the break.
Ncl and arsenal will struggle due to small squads

United and Arsenal had Europa League to contend with last season. Whilst supposedly nowhere near at the same level of quality, it was still a big ask playing weekend and midweek for both for most of the season. Agree that it should be easier for you and Chelsea and much tougher for Newcastle, Brighton and Villa. 8 into 3 doesn't go.
