Much needed.
Hopefully next match we can pass it around a bit more.
Great to get the points!
Very good result and strong performance for the first 50mins or so. Thereafter we got very defensive and were on the back foot for much of the rest of the game.Hopefully next match we can pass it around a bit more.
Great to get the points!
I think we defended well, and limited their clear-cut chances, but an on-form Villa could have scored a couple, at least.

Mental, innit?
Villa fan here - looking forward to Sunday's game. Forest were always my nemesis team as a kid back in the Cloughie era, but as life has gone on I've got to know several Forest fans and followed the ups and downs, enjoying a friendly rivalry. I think I said up the thread that I love having you back in the Prem so there is some decent Midlands representation in the top flight, like there was back in my youth in the 70s/80s.
I think Cooper is a great manager and seems to be a fundamentally nice bloke. As an outsider looking in I feel that your owners haven't spaffed a ridiculous amount of money, so SC is doing a good job with the players available to him. Recent losses to Liverpool & Man City are to be expected, but all the other games have been draws. I feel you're at that point where a win will come soon, and we're on a good run but, like all good runs, they eventually come to an end, so I've got one eye on that happening on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks for your reply, and good luck for the rest of the season. But I'm very happy this evening!Villa fan here - looking forward to Sunday's game. Frustrating, still two away goals scored and Awoniyi looks fully fit again. Felt a point would have been fair.
We gave them a goal. They should’ve had a player (Kudos) sent off after 8 mins.
Scrappy first half but we grew into it.
Would’ve been three points if not for Ward Prowse and some poor defending.
Murillo injury a concern but it does feel like we have players who can come in in any position. We’re better than we were this time last season, progression is clear to see and we look so close to being a real force going forward.

Some great performances, bar Dominguez having a rare off day. Having Danillo on the pitch is great though, and I can see him starting the next match. They should’ve had a player (Kudos) sent off after 8 mins.

Losing Murillo is a big concern to me too. Some of his passing and movement is top drawer, and something that neither Boly or Felipe have (I presume Felipe is close to fitness again). My other concern is that when Awoniyi goes off we look a different and less threatening team. I'd prefer to see Origi given a chance ahead of Wood, but realistically his last 2 years of performances haven't been great.

Yes/ Striker is the only positon now where there is a definite drop in quality if the first choice isn't there.Losing Murillo is a big concern to me too. In most positions now we have someone who can come in without a noticeable drop in quality even if a different type of player
Vlachodimos / Turner
Murillo / Boly / Niakhate / Felipe (I can see Worrall staying but I think McKenna will go in Jan)
Aina / Aurier / Williams / Montiel
Toffolo / Aina
Sangare / Mangala / Yates / Kouyate
Danilo / Dominguez
MGW / Elanga / CHO
Awoniyi.............
Plus a few that haven't had any / much game time yet like Dos Santos, Aguilera, Omobamidele

Sounds like Taiwo could be out for another lengthy spell
We definitely need another striker in the January transfer window. I don't know what Origi brings as we haven't seen much of him, although a Scouse friend said he was quite good.

Hasn’t had a lot of minutes and not many starts, pretty sure we will bring one in January.
I'm presuming there was a reason he didn't feature much for Milan. I think we only got him because we couldn't get Batshuayi, and Milan were keen to get rid, even if only on loan. Hopefully we can buy Toney in January....
