Just watching the FA Youth Cup on MUTV and that team is knocking the ball round better than the first team! They have energy, break quick, pass the ball round well in from of the oppo box, have a left and right back who actually make a run past a winger to make space and most importantly....look like scoring!!!

Also, i'd love him to drop RVP and Falcao, put Wilson up top on his own with Rooney and Mata behind him. Give the lad a chance!

Saints had a field day offloading the players whos talent was about to be found out. Absolute masterstroke; I thought they'd be destined for mid table mediocrity to being pulled into a relegation battle.

Let's not have any more of this 'not clicked yet' business, as well.

Shaw is a young player. He will need time... £30m or not. The price was so high because of his potential to be one of our players for many years. He's young, was regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the country, English and it was reported that at least us and Chelsea were after him. We can afford it even if it goes tits up.

If he's still at this level in 2 years from now I'll be concerned but right now I'm not particularly worried, it'd have surprised me if he slotted right in and played with much more maturity than his age... I'm sure people will argue that for £30m we should expect one of the best LBs in the world but times have changed, money is daft in football these days.

I don't even think Shaw has done that badly at all.

Plus it's a good job we didn't offload Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo and De Gea (+ probably more) when they didn't start well. Those all took time to get going.

Pogba we did offload and that went brilliantly.

Indeed, interesting that its a scouser bringing it up bearing in mind how much of a slagging Henderson took at the start.

The worrying thing for me is that as a Scouser did bring it up, he'd recognise a robbery if he saw one.

Marco Reus has just signed a new contract extension for Dortmund until 2019.

A way of getting more for him when Madrid come in, or us even? Or would he really stay?

Time will tell. smile

Shaw is pretty much bog standard for the Premier League, as far as I can tell. What is supposed to be special about him? I cant see anything worthy of note.

The following team would win 80+% of the games that it plays, but LvG just wont play Herrera and wont drop VP.

Valencia Jones Smalling Shaw

Herrera Blind

Januzaj Rooney Di Maria

Wilson

Falcao is improving and so will probably replace Wilson over time, but Wilson is better than VP and Falcao at the moment.

The fact that Fellaini is getting in the team is embarrassing.

Fellaini and DDG are the only reasons you are in the top four still. I know it won't happen, but if RM came in for De Gea, that'd be the death knell sounding for any chance of success (barring a complete rebuild, which LVG has already had plenty of cash for)

Take a stty point.

No mention of the clear yellow that Song should have got in the first minute for tripping Adnan. Would've put the brakes on his performance. Never mind. Burnley Wednesday perhaps we'll beat those claret and blues.
Burnley and United top of the long ball list this year. Still, at least the midfield should get a rest on Wednesday smile

Little movement up front, passing it around the back far too much, switching sides pointlessly and then hoofing it when there's nothing on... does my head in.
