Overall i thought Man U were pretty impressive last night & the scoreline faltered Southampton a bit.
United could & should have scored a couple more at least.
Bailly, Pogba & Ibra all look like they have come out of the top drawer.
Feel a bit for Rooney as it is blatantly clear he's not the main man anymore especially with Ibra taking the penalty.
Martial looked sharp & Fellaini looks a different player with the excellent Pogba beside him.
As a dedicated lifelong ABU like myself i have to say you are looking worryingly decent & we're only two games in.

Pogba was playing a different game to the Southampton midfield. Minor, minor, worry - Pogba's confidence close to complacency? Maybe reading too much into it. f

7 hours in a car but 8 hours for our travel club coaches. These Friday night games need to have a local element about them . Travelling that far on a Friday night is stupid !

As I didn't manage to watch the game this week (it was on but I was drunk, very drunk) can anyone who did pass comment on Fellaini?
Its just that I have read reports and seen the words "Excellent and Faultless" used to describe his performance, can this be correct?
I saw in JM's post match that they asked about his improvement and Jose said it was down to a phone call from him to MF explaining not to listen to the press and that he was going nowhere

Fellaini looked good. My mum would've looked good in there with Bailly bossing at centre half and Pogba bossing midfield though.
I suppose it allows him to do what he does well, and not take on so much creative responsibility. Or play up front!?

Must admit Bailly has been a great surprise, seems to have adapted very well indeed, itching to see more of Mickey now, seems we have some actual strength in depth as well which is nice as when fixtures start to get busier we won't have the panic of previous seasons

Also the argument about it was that Moyes was being crap in his scouting and just going for players he knows already and trying to make them fit, which may work at other clubs but Utd does tend to ask a bit more, it seems he is still following this path at Sunderland with both Januzaj and Pienaar now heading there

When Moyes joined Utd, you needed some steel in midfield, which is exactly what Fellaini gives you. When Moyes joined Sunderland they badly needed some creativity up front and for someone to link up with Defoe, which Januzaj gives them. Sure enough he's not being very open-minded with his scouting, but if you know a player is available and fit what is required, then why not?
