Can’t believe 83 minutes to make a sub,and still leaves our most natural finisher on the bench but brings on Cornet who couldn’t get a minute against Fulham.
Everything wrong with our manager in that sentence.
Players gave everything,atmosphere fantastic.

In fairness Moyes wanted him on earlier but these days subs seem to spend 10 mins farting around tipping off, being given notes and removing their jewellery then stand on the side for 5 more mins before getting waved on. biggrin

But yes, fresh legs earlier around 60 mins would be best.

The ref was shocking, so many seemingly innocuous things went against us. Proud of the effort from the lads, shame we didn’t make changes a bit sooner as it was clear a few were flagging. But no shame in that performance overall tonight.

If that’s the case get them warmed up earlierz.
For Ings not to get a single minute is beyond belief.

Well I guess now there'll be a new manager next season

Let’s hope so. To have nothing on the bench at that level is embarrassing and that’s on Moyes. He let a lot of fringe players go (Fornals, Benrahma etc) and didn’t replace them, you can’t have a successful league/Euro campaign with 12 or 13 players.

Will be interesting to see our starting eleven first game of next season.

No Paq or Kudus would be my bet.

Paq to City.
Kudus to Liverpool.

Moyes to Heart of Particklothian 3rd XI Reserves.

Agree 100% except there were no real changes sitting on the bench that were going to make a difference IMO and that's om Moyes IMO.

All this “the bench is on Moyes” stuff… the truth is no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. He might have been promised replacements,it might have been due to FFP,it could be him… we simply don’t know.
The way he uses what’s left though is unfathomable.

It may be an unknown but as you say, what he has got and how he manages them is down to him. This year I just don’t think his man management skills have been anywhere near where they should have been.
He seems a nice enough bloke but from what he’s said over the last few months, and the media ‘love in’, I think he feels like we owe him a debt because of the European success. But our actual record since Xmas has been awful, falling well off the pace and that can’t be allowed to continue.

Pisser to draw that @ the death, once again a game we should have won.

Superb first half, ran out of steam second & no game changing options to come on.

Ref ste, unsurprisingly & pretty sure that out goal was VAR'd for some reason.

Shame. Blame DM, blame sully etc, but piss-poor Club management to have put ourselves in that position, despite the Euro runs.

Remaining PL games v.difficult, hope we don't have a Frankfurt style hangover as that took six months to shake off.

Whoever's in charge next season has a st load of work to do.

COYI!!!

It seems that he just doesn’t want to use some players - whether that’s because he simply doesn’t think they are up to it from what he sees on the training ground or whether its potentially down to a degree of malice if they were forced on him against his will, only he will ever know.

As sad as I am that our European adventure is over (for now), the reduction in Sunday 2pm games will be nice…
