Arteta has been on the sidelines shouting the whole game, I like it. It's been a better performance too, even if it's still not the result we want at the moment.

Yeah, I know, it's his first game, but this seems to be more of a new manager 'bounce' than Freddie had. Would be good if we can get a few games worth of improvement!
Yup. There’s a desperate need to take a long view (which seems to be the case if the likes of Ornstein are correct).....there was a a definite change....winning balls back high up the pitch and Torreira looked like a different player being two ! Liked Arteta’s post match interview.....said he saw good things in the performance etc ”my job now is to analyse this game and work out some drills to fix areas where we need to improve....not to worry about Chelsea”

Conceeded a goal playing out from the back (again). If we could get to the stage where we can play a single game when playing out from the back doesn’t result in us conceding a shot on goal I’d count that as a massive improvement !

Yes, very tttish.
Not at all, had it been WH or Millwall, we would have had government inquiries. Its a whitewash. (unironic term of phrase). For a club with the bane of racism as spurs suffer, to protect it when its in house is somewhat off imo

As I’m stuck on a train. I wonder how much Heysel influenced the polices decision to do what they did.

BTW for any Liverpool fan who has never heard of Heysel as it’s conveniently brushed under the carpet, it was an event where your fans murdered a number of Italians.
and what part of that statement is not correct?

And yet he selects Xhaka and makes comments about him that are non nonsensical. hopefully hes trying to bump up his value by a few pence. Who knows what will happen.

Happy New Year you'll

Wonder who we're going to buy in the transfer window? Most of the time us supporters spend the transfer window happy that another club has payed ott for one of our mugs and for the money to go straight into Stan's pocket and no incoming players.

Was it a big part of the crowd shouting racial abuse towards the Chelsea player? No it was one fking idiot.
Unlike Chelsea and West Ham which seem littered with racists if recent years are anything to go by.
You talk some right pony.

Actually the one person arrested was a Chelsea fan. I'm not sure mantis is one to let facts get in the way of his bitterness

Let's get back to Arsenal matters shall we, eh?

Liking the Arteta philosophy so far, most of all that video he posted to the fans. Hitting the right notes so far.

I'll like the Arteta philosophy when we start winning games especially against the big teams until then I will take all the chit-chat with a pinch of salt.

Arteta has said all they players have a clean slate with him and the fans should do the same. What Xhaka did was wrong but the club needs to move on....too much negative energy expended on things that wont help us win football matches.

Arteta was supportive of Xhaka in saying he wanted Man City to sign him etc. Xhaka has said he wants to leave. Arteta apparently told him he could leave in the summer.

Makes total sense as he gets to leave and we get a decent amount of time to replace him.

That seems to make sense to me.

Xhaka’s agent is being a tt which is standard behaviour. If Xhaka is upset about the manager being supportive of him in public whilst also saying he can move in the summer then he is a tt too. Arteta is doing the best thing by the player in being publicly supportive but also saying he can leave. His agent wants his client moved ASAP as it’s pay day for him and I am sure Xhaka does want to move but we are short of numbers and he has a contract until 2023.

I know it ain't Arteta's fault but we've got a crap player that doesn't want to play for us but we've got to keep him because we're short of numbers.A contract to 2023 and he's never played a good game for Arsenal. It doesn't enthuse me with confidence.

Ive no doubt him leaving will be dependant on us securing a replacement much like the Giroud, Aubameyang Batshuyai merry go round in 2018.
