Only one mention of Arsenal, our best player might be on his way out. Typical Kroenke

They won’t sell Torreira, he fits Arteta’s high pressing game fine.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50761196

Controversial opinion: I know that he's been against weaker opposition when he has put his better performances in recently, but I'm more than happy with the Xhaka-Torreira partnership until the end of the season. They've been as solid as they were when Torreira first arrived.
In fact, there were good performances all round today. If Arteta can get them doing that every week with just a little bit more speed, a little bit better finishing and get the players a little less mistake prone, we might, we might be able to get somewhere near the EL final and just maybe even win it.
Long, long way to go but I'm doing that foolish Arsenal fan thing again, I'm hoping.

David Luiz pretty much said in the aftermatch interviews that they’re not fit enough for what Arteta wants! That’s after running 10k more as a team tonight, against Emery’s last game.
I can well believe it. Arteta will demand a higher work rate from every player with or without possession.
From my seat in the first half it was evident how much running kolasinac was doing on the left.
And great to see Lacca hassling their defence to disrupt Man U playing out from the back.
And Pepe was fantastic.
When not in possession the whole team was shuffling last night - what a contrast to having the 4/5 players nearest the ball moving and having 2/3 standing and watching.
Really encouraging stuff, although it’s clear we struggle in the final 20mins. Personally I’d rather not win anything this season if it gives Arteta a chance to drill them about what he wants, improves their mental/ physical stamina and bloods in some young guns that need the experience / confidence of playing in the first 11. Then next season we launch a proper campaign!
COYG!!!!
Well we’ve seen an improvement in all every game Arteta has managed so far....which is an excellent start. That really was a great performance last night....lots of “Man U were st” comments in the media but I don’t think we let them play for large parts of the game. Even second half we were still closing them down and didn’t really let them have any top quality chances,
You can’t fail to like the work rate and the cohesive way the team played with lets face it a pretty unbalanced squad.
Fixture schedule is a bit kinder in Jan which will hopefully give Arteta some real time with the squad.

Second goal was the key
Gave us breathing space but it could still have gone wrong....thankfully it didn't.
We worked very hard and it was a joy to watch (particularly 1st half)
Kola looked like his old self (first few games for us) and ran them ragged.
Regardless of the result it was exciting to watch.
What did Maguire have to do to get a red ffs. That holding on Lacazette was a penalty all day, the refs need to flash more red cards for that kind of b****cks.....its the only way to stop it.

Well..
I don’t want to call a false dawn here, but that 1/2 touch football pass move and press high up. well we used to see that under A Wenger 20 yrs ago with the kids in the lower cups.
The kids would get a chance, to play football at an incredible reasonable standard and take apart championship/lower premiership teams.
The difference is they (the current players) are not kids, and the current bunch are taking on, well no ones.
The difference is that Wenger could play (and get the 1st squad to play) 3/4 different formations/strategy/tactics/fluidity, through the 90 mins, players in multiple positions, almost total football.
The 1st 11 yesterday were Wenger/Sven M players (apart from Pépé).
It’s great to see Arteta back, however I can’t see any new ideas here.

What the fk does it matter who signed the players. And they aren’t....you forgot Luiz....and I doubt Wenger or Sven wants to take credit for Saka, Nelson or AMN.
