Pleased to see the back of him. One of the top five worst signings West Ham have ever made. Reckon we all knew that this was the likely outcome though.

Shambles of a window - only one new signing, maybe a loan on the horizon (now seems dead) & we're linked with some crap from watford - which now feels a sully-certain.

Anderson appears off to Portugal - to be confirmed tomorrow.

Ultra thin squad - any bad injuries & we're in trouble.

What did he say?

I don’t blame Wilshere for his contract, most people want to maximise their wages but Pellegrini should never have signed him on that contract, he was hardly going to become less injury prone the older he got laugh

Some toss about being fit to play but not selected.

Blame Pelegrini for signing some rubbish all on £100k/week.

Have a quick search on twitter and you will find his statement. Nasty little runt really with no professionalism at all. Reckons he has been fit all season and just hasn’t been picked so not his fault. Which is all bullst he is so far off premier league sharpness and is most likely to break down inside 3-4 matches it’s just not worth it - as the majority of us on here predicted.

Oh and he has played something like 600 minutes total premier league football in two years, so puts him at like £1m+ per hour of football played in salary

Anderson's joined Porto on loan for the season.

Currently leaves us w/ 17 first team players (ex. keepers).

A couple of injuries and we are going to be bang in trouble. I was thinking that it’d be Sod’s law that we would have a cup run and win something this season but all behind closed doors, now I’m thinking that was probably a bit wishful!

A cup run now would be classic WH.

Squad's puddle deep at the moment - we've firsthand experience of problem CV19 can cause as well. Crazy.

Absolute twaddle from Wheelchair, hasn't he had about 4 operations since he's been with us, seems odd as he's been fit as a fiddle for the last 8 months he reckons.

Coufal and Soucek both unused subs tonight so no injury concerns so far

Has anyone commented on your recent upturn in results somehow coinciding with Moyes' in-person absence? Apologies if anyone has, and I'm probably stating the obvious!

Daughter's boyfriend is a season ticket holder, his dad has a box, so I was a semi-regular attendee before this st and have some love for the Irons. I'm a Sunderland fan to the core, so understand how Moyes can destroy a club! hehehehe

Give it 14 days or so... Given our squad depth I'd rather that none of our players were involved in Internationals at the moment (and friendlies being played is a nonsense IMO).

I reckon RichB and I are the only people here who will remember John Charles. John played for WH in the Bobby Moore days and was one of the very first black footballers.

There’s a good article about John in today’s Sunday Times. Apparently he’s been overlooked as the first black player to play and score for England. I’d post a link but the story’s behind a paywall.

I remember seeing him play too but I didn't realise he played for England?
