Back from the game.
That was the best atmosphere at Fratton Park this season, many thanks to the Plymouth fans for their contribution.
The first 20 minutes or so we're good for us (bar the goal) but for some reason we allowed Matt to be isolated then it was backs to the wall for 70 mins. We can't afford to play like that again this season. That was the best atmosphere at Fratton Park this season, many thanks to the Plymouth fans for their contribution.
Who was the plum who was commentating on Sky? Every tackle by us was a sending off and he was questioning our tactics, mentality etc. Obviously ex-Portsmouth!

Yes, the Old Lady was certainly rocking last night. But how was Matt not sent off for headbutting Doyle? He then scored their second goal when he shouldn't even have been on the pitch. Plus, shouldn't Hartley have got a red for the foul for our penalty - McNulty was through on goal, no?That was the best atmosphere at Fratton Park this season, many thanks to the Plymouth fans for their contribution.
The standard of refereeing has been abysmal this season.
I'd say the two teams are very close - perhaps ending in penalties on Sunday?
I really hope it doesn't go to pens on Sunday. Thought the comms on Sky were dreadfully biased towards Portsmouth. They seemed to have forgotten that a) Portsmouth aren't a big club any more b) Portsmouth aren't a Premiership side any more c) We actually finished above Portsmouth in the league. And as the result showed, very evenly matched sides.
I think (hope) Argyle will turn up on Sunday, and we will have our day at Wembley. It's a sell out crowd, and we usually play well in front of a full Home Park. I thought Allsopp was a great emergency signing, he looked lost and out of his depth.
All the best for the travelling Pompey fans for Sunday, let's hope it's as good a match.

Fancy meeting up beforehand?
ah sorry kinky i just saw the message!i got there nice and early too - i had to drop off the Accrington kit man *LOL*
i have to say though - that pitch was god-awful. bobbled all over the place. i was getting confident of a 0-0 but it wasnt meant to be. we had a few good chances but you had better.
saying that alot of the supporters left happy that it was only 1-0 - its a deficit that we feel we can over turn...
bring on wednesday...
To be fair, the atmosphere at Home Park was immense. Portsmouth were out played in the final third of the match, probably due to two forced subs in the first half, so tired legs. The goal was always coming, and yes, biased I might be, but the better team won.
I have massive respect for the two Portsmouth fan who stayed behind and stood and clapped Argyle on their victory lap, that must have taken some bottle.
I always said I would only go to Wembley to watch Argyle, and I actually woke up this morning wondering if I had dreamt it all last night. Absolute scenes!
Now, opposition on the 30th...

According to Pasoti, there's all sorts of problems with the Ticketmaster phone line and website.
Well, I had all kinds of issues even getting in the queue so a friend offered to double up the effort by her ringing too. You guessed it; I used her phone for 25 minutes on the 0845 number!! I tried registering on the Ticketmaster website but i couldn't post my details at all. Roll on Wednesday morning for more of the same. The trouble is Ticketmaster only sell a certain number of blocks at a time, rather than saying here's your half of the stadium, pick a seat. We had the same the two times we went with people panicking seeing blocks selling out fast and thinking they wouldn't get to go.
I'd imagine, given who your opposition will be, that there's no one who wants a ticket who won't get one so maybe just be patient (I know, I know, easy to say) and let the initial panic die down a bit. I assume you have some sort of priority system - ST holders, official supporters' groups, etc, etc. - so you should be guaranteed a seat if you're in one anyway? We took 30 and 20k on our two visits so would think at best you'd beat that by 10-15k which would still 'only' be 50% capacity so I'd guess (and hope) that everyone who wants a ticket will get one.
And whilst I can't bring myself to wish you good luck, I will say enjoy the day. That many supporters, filling every services on the way up, the stadium, everything, it really is something else.
B*****ds.
