Felt sorry for Eddie, a return to his former club and a below par performance, when Miggy went off then Longstaff looked like coming off he had his head in his hands.
He didn't have anyone on the bench to fill the roles.
Agree about the green strip.
Joelinton kept passing to the guys in stripes...

I was out last night so wasn't able to watch. Saw a clip tis morning of Tripps having a chat with a fan who I guess had yelled some BS. For a group of supported who "only demand a team that tries" some people lose their st too quickly when we lose.

Given where we are, the fact an entire team is out injured we should be nothing other than intensely proud of the lads who keep pulling their shirts on and running themselves into the ground

PS: hate the green kit, think it's unlucky!
Unfortunately we have our own breed of aholes who have short memories, or we have somehow taken them onboard following the takeover. You can't win every game. We were below par but there's genuine reason for that. I flicked through the socials this morning and in amongst the Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal fans, there seemed to be a disproportionate amount of aholes from our own fanbase.

I'm really disappointed watching that. Sad that we have aholes like that as "fans". Absolutely none of them could or would run as hard or put as much into anything they do themselves as the team does, consistently, other than chuck criticism around. wkers.

Brainless morons. I'd like to hope these dheads are the "new" fans we picked up after the takeover, as surely those who followed the toon during the Ashley era wouldn't be so fickle, would they?

I wouldn’t say we had poor away form. We’ve only played 5 away league games this season, and have only lost two, and they were against Brighton and Man City. We’ve lost this game because our squad is paper thin right now. You know you’re fked when you see Matt Richie on the pitch.
Think we've won 2 of 9 away games this season, few draws in there but I would still class that as poor given the progress we've made. Wasn't whining though, still a lot of positives to take out of the season so far fighting in many competitions and been unlucky with injuries. International break coming at a great time for us
Pretty sure we’ve played 8, and that’s including yesterday and the 2 Champions League games, so 5 PL games before yesterday.

No need to panic. Injury plagued squad, still doing ok in the league, champions league isn't dead and buried yet, 2 cup competitions... Imagine saying that 2 seasons ago!

A wonderful time to be a toon fan. Looking forward to Isak coming back, and hopefully Barnes. I would consider playing Livramento on the left and Trippier on the right for the foreseeable to sure up that back line a little. I've been very impressed with Lascelles since he's come into the starting 11, but it'd be nice to have Botman back.

Howe and his team clearly know best. Lets hope there's some good news on injuries after the international break.

Words of wisdom in contrast to the pillock that engaged with Tripps after the Bournemouth game.

Can't believe a single moron has caused so much controversy. The old rhetoric of inpatient NUFC fans has reared its ugly head again. I like to think that I share the same viewpoint as the majority of fans, which is things are fine. We're progressing brilliantly and playing some good football. The fact our squad is thread bare at the moment will only serve to improve us a few months down the line.

Pragmatism and understanding, balanced with genuine excitement, hope and belief in the team and journey has to be where we center ourselves and I think this thread epitomises that.

For the idiots shouting ste at Trippier, I cannot fathom how they cannot see the graft put in, even in games we've lost. Baffling.

Can't say I'm disappointed that Callum withdrew from England. Obviously it's st for him and means he's still injured but I worried that playing so soon after his injury could make it worse

Another week, another waste of time entering the ballot, think I'm going to jack the membership in at the end of this season, think I've entered at least 10 now, got the Liverpool game, that's it, waste of money even with 11 or so home games left which I'd not be optimistic about getting anything out of, especially when someone my wife knows seemingly gets them pretty much every time, and has been to at least 5 games that I know of.

Strange innit, my mate is in this membership and he seems to have managed to get to about 5 or 6 games this season.

I'm more like you, I'm not in it, but if I was, I'm not a lucky person so would probably get nowt.

I just think it's a flawed system, there's been no indication of how many memberships actually exist, there's no indication of how many tickets in each of the category actually exists. I've entered category 1, 2 and 3, and got one game in 2. I'd much prefer it if they just said you could set the limit on how much you're willing to spend and enter you into all available categories in that price range along with everyone else.

Entered for every home game. Got the Liverpool game and (woohoo) AC Milan. We’ll see how the rest of the season goes but the jury’s still out on membership next season.

Interesting info.
Yes, the number of matches must play a part, summer games etc
Interesting comments below the article, some serious many not but

"Standing around waiting for a VAR decision" - was said in jest but yes, muscles cooling down and tightening up...
"the lightweight boots" - I've thought this for a long time, injuries to the foot, like Trippier and others might have been avoided if they were wearing older style footwear. Of course there should be less shin injuries now the boots are lighter and don't hurt as much.
"sliding around on their knees" - cartlidge and other knee injuries?

and finally, more dangerous tackles? Nah, don't think there's any worse now than the likes of McGrath/Macnamee and of course, Nobby Stiles.

So maybe it's just that they are more finely tuned in the modern game? It's faster (for the most part - G Southgate please note) the lads are fitter, faster, but more prone as a result.

I think on a serious note, the amount of extra time now being played probably will make a difference. 10 mins is fairly normal now and that doesn’t include an extra 5 on the first half.

Willock has no luck does he. Injured his ankle in training yesterday.

Great to Isak back in the squad though.
