All true. I just hate seeing us look so bloody mediocre.
.
You do realise you've been decidedly mediocre all season don't you?.
Winning most games by the narrowest of margins, usually thanks to dubious VAR decisions going in your favour and against your opponents.
You won't even come close to equalling the current PL goals scored record.

Nearly found myself wishing Liverpool would go on and break that record for a second... nearly.Winning most games by the narrowest of margins, usually thanks to dubious VAR decisions going in your favour and against your opponents.

If we've been mediocre then by your own standards City have been utterly st.Winning most games by the narrowest of margins, usually thanks to dubious VAR decisions going in your favour and against your opponents.

And I doubt many teams will come close to beating that goals tally without some sort of cheating in the same way it was set.
That we've broken so many records this season already is a testament to our management and the players.

I expected more from City(league wise) if I'm honest, especially when I consider how awesome they were last season. Although they way we have played in the last few games...I'm now not taking the league for granted anymore that is for sure! It could be a very nervy(I hope not though) end to the season.

I’m a Forest fan. I’m amazed by the sheer level of vitriol and bitterness around Liverpool though. To be honest they’ve been sodding amazing all season, excepting this recent blip, which ironically does seem to have come about as a direct consequence of the PL break that Klopp was so insistent about his players needing. Liverpool probably would’ve done better in this recent period if they’ve carried on uninterrupted in my opinion.

I've of the opinion the break was and is still very much needed. There was always going to be a dip after having the break, it is like hitting the reset button back to zero. However thinking longer term in terms of player injury prevention or tiredness, I still think the break was a very good thing. Take the hit now and you will assume they will play themselves back into form over the next batch of games. You'd hope the Atletico match in particular would be perfect time to help focus the mind but I guess football doesn't always work like that and you can't just switch back form and rhythm. warch said:

I agree to an extent. I think the blip is a combination of several things;- the winter break ending our momentum
- the injury to Henderson
- our front line has be very, very slowly declining in form all season. In fact they've not really "clicked" since last season.
- Fabinho coming back from injury but not yet hitting top form
- maybe a bit of tiredness too?
