In this day and age of big transfer fees and world records being broken every transfer window, Salah is surely the transfer bargain of the decade, relatively speaking. Fifty million euros was it? That's looking like pretty good business to me.

The Ox might just be the midfield general we have been missing. Completely bossed the middle. I am sure he will add goals to his game the more he plays - but right now, he is moving the game forward. Love it!!

Also regarding Karius, what I liked more than the world class save he pulled off, was that he had nothing to do for 44 mins but was fully concentrated and switched on for the save. Growing every game.
2 goals
5 assists in 10 games too

Back home in Kent to a boiler that’s broke! It was warmer up in the hills in the Cotswolds. No horses though.

7 points ahead of Chelsea in fifth with them playing City tomorrow. Too early to start thinking a top four finish is safe?

Sorry to hear your wife is penniless. Yes, much too early. All to play for.

Yes he's certainly improving, just hope Klopp doesn't get silly ideas and think that he is actually good enough.

3 points and no injuries was the main aim tonight, but it was good to get a warm up against another team that parks the bus.
4 clean sheets in last 6 games. Not bad for a useless defence!

Have you poured boiler water over the white pipe that comes out of the boiler on external wall?

Haha, yes. My Facebook has been full of people having the same problem and suggesting the same thing. I’ve unscrewed the pipe from the boiler and letting the condensate drip into a bucket for now. Still won’t fire. It’s been on the blink for weeks and we actually have a new one being fitted on Wednesday. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Reflecting on a comfortable team performance, I'm gonna have to talk about Mo Salah.

Everyone's tipping kdb, and some striker from London for premier league player of the season, but I cant get my head around how someone with 24 goals & 8 assists isn't nailed on to win it.

Unlike some, he only has one penalty, and hasn't padded out his total with hat tricks against dross either smile

A long time ago someone said, "If you wanna know who the best player is, just decide who you would pick first if you were playing 5 a side"

Actually, I'd probably pick bobby hehe

Performance was a bit rubbish, but who cares, 3 points, 2 goals and a clean sheet smile
Sign of a good team.
Never felt we were gonna lose yesterday, first time in a long time with only a 1-2 goal lead.

Normally I like to be 4/5 up to be confident!

If anyone's interested in going on Tuesday my mate wants £100 and I will take £75 for the hospitality seats, food, and stanley car park.

Front row, Kenny stand, upper tier about a 1/3rd along from the Kop end

No player has scored in more games this season across Europe’s top five leagues than Mo.

No one said he was having a bad season. They said he was out of form, which he was. He got a few goals and it seems like he's back into things.

Ah - sometimes difficult to read the intent in text! When there seems to be no shades of grey on here a lot of the time it can be difficult to know if someone actually means something.

Since we're posting about good players etc - what happened to all the VvD comments about him being rubbish? Seem to have vanished after our 4 in 6 games clean sheets?

I was just thinking about VVD and decided it's too early to think he's the solution to our defensive issues.

Couple of games to settle but it's clear to see his class...super composed and has a hell of a range in passing...anyone who doesn't rate him as a CB is a troll or clueless about football...

The defence since VVD and Karius came in has looked a bit more solid. I'm not saying our problems are sorted but there has been an improvement. We've looked like there's more of an all round improvement over the last few games, since we've started winning games again.

Agree, our defence looks a bit more solid however I would argue that we haven't really been truly tested over the last few games. City exposed our frailties a few weeks back so I will reserve judgement until it gets really tested for creaks by another top side. However good to see we are getting clean sheets and Karius getting a much needed confidence boost and VvD starting to emerge as a leader.

I mentioned a few days ago about how successful United have been defensively with extremely average central defenders. I really think employing defensive midfielder like Matic would provide that extra shield of cover and mop up some of the initial attacking threat. Just my opinion though - Klopp's decision at the end of the day.
