Certainly not the team with a 7 point lead at the top of the table having played in front of crowds all season.

10 clubs want the break early.
Shutting the game down for a few weeks and hoping things don't get too bad is 100% the correct thing to do.

''Scottish Premiership clubs have been asked to vote on when the winter break should be introduced.
The three options are to pause as planned after 3 January, start the break after the Boxing Day fixtures or begin the hiatus before Sunday's games.
The SPFL board are encouraging clubs not to vote for the third option due to the few dates available to play games.''

Think it means after tonights games have been played. Although who knows what the latest situation with St Mirren is to even get a team out.
It would make sense to include tonight and certainly throws the cat amongst the pigeons for the few pontificating about protecting everyone if Celtic don’t vote for it! Scrubs said:
If this was all about public health then St Mirren's games tonight, and on Boxing Day, would be postponed.
They should be off. It's been said many times. The infection projections are getting worse. We are going to be in a worse state next week.
Everyone has openly said that they didn't want games played behind closed doors. Now certain groups are fighting for games to be played behind closed doors and ignoring the opinions of all other clubs.
Why do you think 10 clubs want the winter break brought forward?

Not disagreeing. The projections are for this current Covid situation to reach a peak towards the end of January into February. If some clubs are happy to have zero games played until the middle of February or even into March when they can have full stadiums again, then that's their call. Infact, it might not be their call, as I notice the the SPFL have stated that they have the final say no matter what way any vote goes.Driver101 said:
St Mirren have had another request to postpone the games refused.
The rules are you have to have 13 players including a goalkeeper. 10 of the players need to be 18+.
It’s not right forcing a club with limited resources to play a game in the present circumstances. Do the players have to be male, maybe if they named some of their women’s team players that might cause the mandarins to have a rethink The rules are you have to have 13 players including a goalkeeper. 10 of the players need to be 18+.

The Scottish Championship, plus Leagues 1 and 2, have all opted not to shut down and play on. All 30 sides will continue - a move that has been ratified by the SPFL board.
Shouldnt affect the league 1 and 2 clubs too much, as most of them would struggle for 500 fans at most games anyway. Will be a sore one for the clubs with bigger pay at the gate crowds.

They'll be too scared to shutdown. If things do get worse their leagues will be shutdown as previous and only the premier league continuing.

Remember that the lower leagues don't have a winter break. They continue to play. They aren't voting to take a break scheduled break early, they are voting not to miss weeks of fixtures.

The break starts after the boxing day games. According to twitter it looks like its a done deal with regards to the winter break getting brought forward.
It probably should have started after tonight, but at least there was some compromise. It's the sensible and correct decision.
