Pot kettle black just like Jossel from North London (bcm / im / ijm / inkiboo / asgayman)

Onto important matters; is everybody else thinking tonight will be close as we're bound to concede?
I've been here a long time. Decided to change my name linked to the car I was driving. Clearly not the same as getting banned and coming back multiple times. smile

Run along to that little clique of yours. The one that thinks that some players might have been waiting to see if we qualified before signing up.

My reflections on the game. Our front 3 need to play as much as possible. There is no depth there so we'll see what happens.

Can hopefully doesn't leave before the window closes, easily our best midfielder.

Wijnaldum's poor form continues. Henderson did ok. Neither remain ideal starters the way Klopp sets up to play.

The left side of the defence is a joke. Moreno, transformed? Really. Anyone care to defend that? Thought not.

They came and scored two. We need new players to give our front 3 some cover, we need new players that suit our midfield and we still need new players to strengthen our defence.

Now we'll also see what a decent manager can do in the champions league rather than the useless Mr Rodgers last time round. I doubt Klopp will be playing the reserves away at Madrid.

Right lads, draw tomorrow. Who do you want? I'd Keegan style love it if we got Barcelona.

I do think there's a couple of groups of death out there, and they'll include us, Roma and the Spuds. Some strong sides in pot 3.
I'd like Barca and Red Bull Leipzig.

The 32 teams in this season's Champions League group stage can now begin to think about their dream draw after the final seeding pots were confirmed following Wednesday's final qualifying ties.

The champions of Europe's top-eight ranked leagues are automatically seeded in pot 1, with the remaining three pots allocated based upon UEFA's coefficient system.

Sevilla secured their place in pot 2 after coming through the playoffs, which meant Napoli had to be content with a place in pot 3 after they too came through the qualifiers.

Liverpool take a place in pot 3 after coming through their tie against Hoffenheim.

There are teams in pot 4 that some might hope to avoid, as it features Scottish champions Celtic, Dutch title holders Feyenoord, German debutants RB Leipzig and Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.

The draw for the group stage begins at 5 p.m. BST, midday ET on Thursday, Aug. 24.

Seeded: Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk, Monaco, Spartak Moscow

Pot 2: Barcelona, Atletico, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Man City, FC Porto, Man United

Pot 3: Napoli, Tottenham, FC Basel, Olympiakos, Anderlecht, Liverpool, Roma, Besiktas

Pot 4: Celtic, CSKA Moscow, Sporting CP, APOEL Nicosia, Feyenoord, NK Maribor, FK Qarabag, RB Leipzig

The first group games will be played on Sep. 12-13

Your first post this evening was an attack on a poster rather than the teams win.

Seemed an odd sense of priority and worth commenting on. Not sure what you mean about swiping and scrolling unless you are advising to ignore your posts as they lack value?

That didn't take long did it...

Back in the real world, great result tonight, plenty of positives, looking forward to the weekend. Will be a proper test for both sides.

As a neutral (nah not really, a Utd fan), I thought Liverpool looked very fluid and exciting in attack tonight. Better than I expected. High quality at times.

Terrible in defence as ever. Arsenal (and any other decent side) will expect to score 1 or 2 against that defence.

Beyond that, it is hard to read much into it overall given that Hoff's defending was pub team standard.

Anything positive about winning in the way we did? Klopp was very happy, and remarked the players were good no matter what the papers say. Do you agree?

I was row 72 in upper main today, 1 good thing about that is you see so much of the game and positioning... I feel for Moreno as he got caught less than Trent today but everyone says he was poor and Trent was quality... was also you see from there is how our CM 3 drop into RB and LB quite often as the FBs are told to push right on, but then Moreno is called out for being out of position..... he makes mistake yes but he has a stigma now that will never go like Mignolet who has not put a foot wrong since he came back but is still spoke about as a weak link....

Firmino, Mane and Can were superb today
Can I really enjoyed watching, firmino is just such a clever play as is Mane, there movement and ability to drag players out of position goes un noticed especially on tv
Wijnaldum was poor first half buy much better 2nd half....
I've basically come to the conclusion no matter who we have in defence or midfield we will always conceed under Klopp we are so good in attack as we attack in numbers and it leaves you so open for the quick counter...wont matter who we have

Nice of ORD to says he was impressed as he genuinely only thinks we have 1 good player ...

My preference for draw for selfish reasons is

Bayer
Barca
Celtic

Would love those 3 away days smile

Doing this off the phone and a few beers so expect errors

Seems a couple of important people agree with me too

Also thought Matip was very very good again

That Hoffenheim team was also better than any team UTD played to win the Europa last year wink

Klopps comments on transfer

Rumours are a player we want has a clause that if a champions league comes in for him he can go... I would expect at least 1 maybe 2 players in before next Thurs reading into all this

Think RBL and Celtic are in the same pot.

Agree about Moreno. He's clearly told to bomb forward with our 'wingers' cutting in. It's then the job of the midfielders to shuffle across on the cover.
