No doubt Arsenal were also very poor.
But our season will be over within a few weeks unless something very dramatic changes.
Pogba should be nowhere near the side at the moment. Another awful performance from him. As ever, the biggest problem is more general: we have no ideas whatsoever in the final third and create almost zero chances. That has to be down to coaching.
Ord how would our season be over ? We will have qualified for the next phase of CL if we double up on the next team? But our season will be over within a few weeks unless something very dramatic changes.

We scored 5 against the top team in Germany on Wednesday. Methinks you meltdown far too quickly. Did we suddenly forget how to coach people since Wednesday? The formation with pogba as played today didn't click against a very determined defensive team. The knack for Ole is to have something up his sleeve to beat those teams and to realise Pogba won't be the answer at times.
The season will be over because we wont win the CL and will soon be hopelessly off the pace in the PL.
Pogba has apparently given away 3 penalties under Ole, making him the worst culprit, and I don't honestly think that will be his last one either. He's bloody clumsy at times for such a supposed world class player. Roll on him achieving his ambition of playing for Real or whoever at present! :-)

Martial back from suspension next time out. Him with Rash and Cavani to start, VDB, McT, Bruno, Matic in front of the defence?
McTominay is a waste of a place. He doesn’t want the ball. Watch his positioning. He makes sure that he’s rarely an option for the player with the ball and if by some miracle they find him he immediately offloads it, usually back to the player that passed it to him. ORD said:

Somehow he needs to find consistency, even if it's draws or 1-0 wins rather than the current rollercoaster! :-)

The CL will get in the way of you achieving anything in the league (I mean top 6); it's a red herring because you aren't going to win it.
No one here thinks we will win it, we are going to get further along the road however. Realistically where we got to last season plus 3rd was unexpected, given the first half of the season etc. Deja vu looming perhaps. 200Plus Club said:
Agreed in some ways but we had these same chats last season after that terrible start too!

It’s not a roller coaster. It is one defeat after another at home. Away from home it’s wind right at the end of the game. With one rogue result thrown in there. Take that out and look at the season and you’ll see it’s nothing short of a dsgraceSomehow he needs to find consistency, even if it's draws or 1-0 wins rather than the current rollercoaster! :-)

Van de Beek has looked the only player who actually changes things when he comes on. So we don’t play him or bring him on when it’s almost too late. He isn’t the answer though. Our PL season is over, talk of the CL is a joke, we won’t survive the first knock out round if we even get there and that leaves the minor cups.
Tough decision but Ole has to go. He’s not managing or coaching this side he’s overseeing a decline that even Mourinho couldn’t have masterminded during one of his own meltdowns.
I don’t want to say it but I agree-ole has to go whilst poch is still available.Tough decision but Ole has to go. He’s not managing or coaching this side he’s overseeing a decline that even Mourinho couldn’t have masterminded during one of his own meltdowns.
Why does he insist on starting pogba when everyone can see he is not the player we need in our midfield.the two great results in champions league have papered over the the cracks.we have been terrible in the prem-fking terrible.as soon as I saw pogba in the starting line up I knew we would struggle.

I'll add two thoughts of my own...
1.Arteta is well on the road to implementing his system at Arsenal and you can see it about 40 games into his managerial reign. On paper, most of those United players are more talented than the Arsenal counterparts yet Arteta has moulded them into a decent system. He's not afraid to leave the big players out and bring in the lesser players because they complement his plan better.... Ole doesn't do that. He shoehorns the best players into a formation that doesn't suit them then wonders why it's not working. And he's had 60 games more as manager!!
2. Pogba is a joke. One of the most over rated players I've ever seen, Sir Alex wasn't often wrong with players and he let him go partly because of his attitude and commitment. Bringing him back at £80 odd million was ridiculous... most of the success he's enjoyed in his career has come because he's playing alongside real quality players that do the donkey work so he can strut around like a peacock, showing off. Dicking about with his hair again, and filming stupid videos again? That stuff's all right when things are going well. United should get rid in January and spend the £50 million they get on someone like Partey. I saw a tweet earlier that said "Partey is who Paul Pogba thinks he is!". Spot on.

Everton away miday Saturday after a midweek trip isn't going to be easy either.
I’ll predict a 3-1 defeat now. Mock me if / when I’m wrong, but I don’t expect us to do anything other than lose. selym said:
He's being turned into a bad player by having to at in that team with those performances; I wouldn't want the fking ball either.
Possibly, equally maybe he’s being coached to continually offload the ball. Either way the lad is regressing as a player. He had huge potential to be a bit of a sthouse enforcer. On that note, where’s Williams? That kid had passion to spare, instead we get Shaw doing his usual Scott Parker fat arse impression GloverMart said:
That's three or four of your posts I've found myself nodding in agreement at, Unident.
Thank you. Sadly nobody else wants to engage. It was a hugely disappointing must win game and I am as disappointed as anyone.
Arsenal played well and we were really sloppy. Arsenal won by a single goal and a penalty at that.
We have now lost as many games as Arsenal.
I would have have started DVB over Pogba or even Mata.
Maybe our expectations were a little high. Playing Arsenal was always going to be difficult, don’t forget they beat Liverpool twice relatively recently and that was with a weaker squad than played today!

Thank you. Sadly nobody else wants to engage. I've now found one that I disagree with - it will all depend on the Richarlison/Calvert-Lewin/James axis... they aren't the same team without those three playing together and firing. I think it will be a draw.

I think the one they can afford to lose is the Brazilian Nose, if James gets back there could be trouble.I've now found one that I disagree with - it will all depend on the Richarlison/Calvert-Lewin/James axis... they aren't the same team without those three playing together and firing.
