In between the countless cheap “organised” quotes from all and sundry.

That was one of our best performances this season. Lingard had an excellent debut, Benrahma and Antonio playing some great linking play.
The unsung hero was Coufal, bossed Grealish from the start and made him look very ordinary.

Despite the result against Liverpool, with them playing Man City and us Fulham at the weekend, I think we might have the last laugh, COYI !!

40 years and I can honestly say this is the best I've felt about a West Ham team in the last 20 years, I feel like they have a genuine chance of winning every game they play at the moment. And I'm riding the wave!

Great team performance last night, performances all over the park. Looks like the guys had a long hard look at themselves after bottling the Liverpool game and have reacted the right way. Lingard will get the headlines of course but Antonio's all round forward play was outstanding and Benrahma I felt overshadowed Grealish in front of Southgate and is really coming on well and looking every inch a starter. If we lost Ant to injury that team loses a lot of balance and clearly Lingard is best played as he was last night so I hope that by some miracle Ant stays fit. Soucek again stunning performance and completely ignored by most media reports, due to the desperate need to make it look like Lingard did it all on his own last night. Lingard has fitted in well into a team already playing some great football.

MOTD was terrible, made it sound like we got lucky due to a 'off day' by Villa and that Lingard carried us. Ignoring that we made it into 4th place without him. I think someone said it perfectly a while back, our season still hangs by Antonios Hamstrings lol

Haha! Yes there has to be a meme kicking around somewhere of Coufal with a little Grealish head sticking out his pocket?

To be frank Grealish is a talent but he is one of the worst in the league for simulation and cheating the referee with his dives and screaming for anything innocuous. So when Coufal got in his face and treated him with the disdain he deserves, I would have no complaints.

On his own Twitter account Vlad posted some pictures of him harassing Grealish - the opening to his Tweet was "Sometimes I look like psycho on the pitch..." Quality stuff, bloke's class.

Wonder if he drives a Lambo scratchchin

Was an absolute tactical masterclass by Moyes with Squealish. Looked like he told Coufal to effectively man mark him and follow him all round the pitch, leaving Fredericks to cover the space. At one point in the second half Squealish had dropped so deep he received a 5 yard pass from the right sided centre half ( so about 70 yards or so in a diagonal from where he could have any effect) yet when he went to turn out Soufal was right up his chuff and he had no option other than to lay it straight off. What with that and Benrahma and Lindgard working their socks off defending from the front cutting off the supply, he ended up a frustrated figure, save for the great pass for their goal, when by then he was on the other flank.
Woke up really excited this morning ....not the best vision for you lot.

I was worried that the focus on Squealish (I like that!) would mean we take our eye off Barkley who can be a very good play but fortunately he had a mare and was taken out the game around the hour mark. Such a shame when players introduce diving into their game in the way he has (when its accompanied by squealing, shouting, writhing around) its the same with Neymar, it taints them and overshadows their talent.

I think also we should not underestimate the captains role in the team, every goal celebration he is there, always geeing players up, apparently a force in the dressing room already. Even when Rice is playing for England he is organising, telling players with masses more experience what to do.
