Haven't you been watching us this season? Players that he's bought, tactics (lack of) that he's implemented, getting played off the park by everybody that we play, shots raining in on our goal, making it up as we go along.
So after 2 full seasons you see this as progress being made?
Pep, Arteta, Klopp had a style of play and philosophy straight away, in 2 years and £400 million quid we have none of these things.
Looking from the outside, I’d have to agree with this.

United have had the same tactical issue all season yet have kept playing the same way. What’s the definition of insanity? Something like ‘doing the same thing and doing expecting different results’?

It’s frustrating for the supporters to see another manager fail, but ETH really does look out of his depth, both on tactics and recruitment

Seems like we need to get Rooney's missus in to teach the club how to find the source of leaks.
Maybe we have. Maybe ETH isn't sacked at all, or about to be, and someone's been done up like a Rebekah.

You never know until it's official.

I had high hopes for ETH after the majority of the first season. However something happened at half time in that home match with Sevilla and we’ve never recovered since.

I agree. It could be McKenna has said no to Chelsea because he's coming to us, and the leak emanated from the Chelsea side for example. It would be dumb of the club to be leaking this themselves though, as you say it looks poor but I suppose in a way maybe it can't be helped if it's not come from them.
Apparently the reporter who broke the story is heavily linked with Chelsea, so as you mention if its true it came from them.

I mean it took a nano second to copy and paste it.....

As I mentioned before, I've never met Erik Ten Hag to know if I like him or not. What I copied and pasted simply appears to be some facts, rather than anyone's opinions or personal judgement.

Whilst it's a bit like Big Ron saying the 5th goal of a 7 goal humping was offside, that one's a bit harsh.

If that is to be the case, the club has made a fking mess of this. Embarrassing to say the least, and i feel sorry for ETH.
Indeed ,whatever one’s opinion on ETH if this is true and has been leaked it’s utterly disgraceful by the club (the leaking of such info)
Absolutely embarrassing.very very poor form from the club to behave this way.
If he’s being sacked then so be it,but like this is just cheap.
On the eve of the fking FA cup final ffs
I will say although the writing has been on the wall for a few weeks at least,I’ve always been in the give him time camp -injuries etc .I wonder how much time his replacement gets?
There was not one single regular poster on this thread that was unhappy when ETH got the job-in fact it was quite the opposite-young progressive manager etc.
I think the job is far too big for McKenna at this moment in time,I’d rather drink my own piss than have Southgate, potter or Thomas Frank.
Touchel is toxic like Jose, it would have to be Poch for me

On RedCafe forum sounds like he was told it was his last game. Still poor that it has been leaked though. I did like the bloke and what he stood for but his record was pretty poor to be honest. I know Alex was given a few years to turn the team around but I don't know if this would have happened with Eric. Players now rule the dressing room not the Manager.

The likelihood is it's either someone in the club (which was leaky as all get go before Ineos) got wind of it and leaked, which while Ineos haven't stopped it you can't really say it's their fault. Equally likely it's come from an agent / connection of someone involved in the discussions with potential replacements and the Guardian et al have put two and two together, the timing was never this but the Poch surprise and turnover in managers around the continent has forced their hand.

There is no benefit to Ineos of doing it like this, so I doubt they did it (at least not intentionally). Outside chance Dan Ashworth emailed someone about it I guess.

I get you copy and pasted it, but some of those are pathetic. You could do that about every manager.

The fact that someone (not you) compiled those is a tad embarrassing. It's like they had an agenda and trawled though everything to back up their argument.

The facts are he had a good first season and possibly overachieved. The second season he has tried to change things and it's not worked out and gone from bad to worse.

If INEOS feel they want to go in a different direction then so be it. They have put their head on the chopping block and if it doesn't go well you can see the media and social media fans piling on.

Let's hope they have thick skin

Yeah, it seems like the leak as such may have come from Chelsea direction, finding out from the McKenna camp. Either way they've contributed to this and if we get a battering tomorrow it's going to reflect on them. Not a great start.

There were some massive glaring red flags in his first season. Huge ones.

The fact that season 2 has been woeful wouldn’t be a surprise considering those red flags.

I’m sure INEOS are looking at the entire 2 years of Ten Hag, and have sensibly reached the conclusion that was obvious several months ago.

His tactics in some games have been shocking. Playing players in wrong positions and then blaming them for his poor decisions was never going to end well.

How long will you give the next “ long term project” manager?
Did you voice your concerns after the first seasons massive red flags or is it hindsight?
You are great at copying and pasting, stick up your concerns about these massive red flags when last season ended …
