You need a manager with the power to boss the dressing room with support from management above. A weak leadership at the top and a dressing room full of £400k a week egos is what cost some of our previous managers. I doubt that will be allowed to continue in future.

You had that with Jose… and it didn’t work.

You can’t bully players in to respecting you.

Well the solution with that is to also sort out the dressing room and remove the problems, not just only recruit people who have to deal with it. It might take a while, because silly wages etc, but it has to happen whether or not we change managers.

I like Mckenna, think he's an excellent manager, but it's a huge step. Even Nigel Adkins got promoted from League 1 to EPL in 2 seasons. There doesn't seem to be a lot of appealing options out there for the big clubs atm, but surely you can do better than Mckenna?

I can't wait for the day Simone comes to England, he's got Chelsea written all over him!

Ruben Amorim I've seen mentioned, but hard to judge these managers when I don't watch their games, impressive CV though.

McKenna shouldn't be anywhere near the only show in town but I've no problem with him being an option.

A crap piano player could have the best Steinway on earth and still fail to play a decent tune.
Pep himself said he needs a certain level of player to play how he plays , I’m not undervaluing his role but he inherits formidable teams .Whoever is in charge next season will not have that luxury .
Yes a good manager will possibly get a better tune of these players but having 5 or 6 world class players in a team would help anyone , unfortunately we don’t have such players .

He's not even on the bench is he? thats odd. Maybe picked up a knock or something? Ah well. Have to be in it to win it, and we are, so lets go boys. Hopefully Rashford is chomping at the bit, likes a goal against City. Amad a bit unlucky, but as with Hojlund can be the difference maker off the bench.

We've won the last two with similar formations.

Huge call with some of those decisions .The centre halves have almost no game time between them especially recently is concerning but then I suppose the options are another kid and Casemiro so fingers crossed .

Casemiro was on the bench, but late injury means he drops out altogether.

Wonder if we get an inspired Rashford determined to prove people wrong today, or the same sulky one that hasn’t been bothered to try all season. Hopefully the former…
