Hopefully with Fab, Hendo, Firmino, Ox, Keita, Milner off the books along with Matip, Thiago and Adrian (60k/pw) this season, our wages to revenue should hopefully drop a bit. I know we had a few incomings but unlikely to be on as high as those leaving. If there is no direct replacement for Matip, any new forward could be recycled with someone leaving. Only a quality 6 would add to the wages (possibly) but of course offset by those leaving. Contract extensions will erode a bit of the savings too.https://archive.ph/MKrlD

Looking at that table, if I was an Arsenal fan I'd be pretty satisfied with this season. As a Liverpool fan, not so much. 3rd looks about our spot on those figures but it hardly makes us look like humble, low spending over achievers.https://archive.ph/MKrlD

We should have come 4th not 3rd but our points tally was much higher than spend suggests, not bad but we need to rotate mature expensive players for younger cheaper ones, which has startedAdam. said:

If you look at someone like Thiago, we absolutely did not get value from that deal.I can't recall an experienced player on high wages coming in and really doing a great job.

Correct, I never trust any data on these type of things! It is especially easy to manipulate wages, take 115 Charges FC who paid Mancini salary from a different company under the guide of “consultancy fees”.
According to Der Spiegel, Mancini is said to have at one point earned £1.45 million in a basic salary and £1.75m as a consultant for a team controlled by City owner Sheikh Mansour in Abu Dhabi, which critics have argued could constitute a secret agreement to inflate his salary if not properly accounted for

Not sure what to believe with wages.
On one hand, c.£150 makes sense looking at the individual players and quoted wages, but that can’t be the full figure for the club as it doesn’t include Klopp, coaching staff, the fringe players and everyone else who works for the club (from directors to ‘dinner ladies’).
But almost £400 sounds bonkers… for it to be that high you’d need to double all the players quoted wages.
On one hand, c.£150 makes sense looking at the individual players and quoted wages, but that can’t be the full figure for the club as it doesn’t include Klopp, coaching staff, the fringe players and everyone else who works for the club (from directors to ‘dinner ladies’).
