Ange Postecoglou said:
I was part of one of the biggest rivalries in the world in the last couple of years with Celtic and Rangers and I understand the rivalry but I've never and will never understand if someone wants their own team to lose. That's not what sport is about. It's not what I love about the game. What I love more than anything in the game is the competitiveness, challenging yourself to beat someone and coming out successful. Anything outside of that it's got nothing to do with sport. It's got nothing to do with me. If other people want to treat it that way, that they get pleasure from other people's misery, that's not how I've lived my life and how I perceive my role. My role is to bring success to this football club and I know 100% of Spurs supporters want us to win, be successful and win trophies. That is without a shadow of a doubt and us winning tomorrow night will help us bring joy to 100% of Spurs supporters."
This galah wasn't chirping the same thing when he threw the league cup vs Fulham with nine changes.

In saying that, COYS

I think it's fair to say I don't actually want spurs to lose, but if they do there is a consolation prize hehe
Win/Win?

Depends on if we roll over. City are on a 4 goal difference to the Arse, it may come down to that at the end of the season?
I want us to win

You are indeed right but unless Spurs change their wage structure they'll never compete with Europe's elite

Villa have 12 players earning north of 100k a week , City have 16, Arsenal have 16, Liverpool have 13, chelsea have 13 ,Utd have 14 , Spurs have 5 ,

Unless they have some young academy world beaters then they just will not compete unless they pay more .

I am going to take the 93 bus to Putney Bridge to watch the Tottenham/Fulham u21's cup final on Thursday which I'm very much looking forward too.
Yet your weekly wage bill is higher than Villa's and only slightly less than Liverpool, you're just paying a lot to players that aren't in your first choice XI in comparison.

As an example you are still paying both Perisic and Ndombele not to play for you whilst out on loan. Peresic is definitely still costing you well over £100k+ a week as Split pay no more than £20k of his £180k a week wage.

Slightly?

Then add in transfer fees signing bonus and agents fees. We are a world a way from Liverpool in terms of whats paid.

Your facts aren't quite as wrong as M3sye's used to be, but you're getting there. hehe

Perisic is earning a whopping 1EUR as he waived his remaining Spurs salary (he's out of contract next month) in order to facilitate the move back in January. The Hajduk president is also quoted as saying Perisic would remain on 1EUR if he plays next season although there are some "modest bonuses" he can earn.

As for the Spurs weekly wage bill being "slightly less than Liverpool" we either have a very different definition of "slightly" or you didn't type that with a straight face.

league position is largely a factor of your wage bill (with the exception of Man U / Chelsea).

Quite possible about Villa but I find it hard to believe Spurs are only slightly less than Liverpool's not that it matters & I could well be wrong . The post wasn't meant to compare weekly Total wages it was about attracting individual star players , Mr levy I'm sure would not pay the top player the top wages & this is why i think Spurs would struggle in the CL next season.

Whilst I'm on the site it says spurs weekly wages spend is £2,130,000 & Liverpools is £2,670,000 £540k a week is more than slightly in my reckoning, Villa come in at £2,135,000 which is slightly higher than Spurs ,

City £3,705,00
Arsenal £3,298,000
Utd. £ 3,821,000
Chelsea £2,977,500
Bayern € 5,258,007
psg € 5,783,846
Real € 5,583,462
Barca € 4,212,308
Dortmund € 2333,077

This is all capology's figures

We arent, its the Liverpool echo chamber they like believe all their players play for shirt buttons an so repeat it over and over whenever they can in the vain hope that we all believe it too.

Spurs will win tonight, a last minute winner from somebody like Emerson Royal with his last kick for Spurs before being sold. Arsenal will go onto win the league and next season their fans will come up with a chant about Royal being a gooner in disguise…another dose of medicine from Dr. Tottenham which we will lump under the catch all term of ‘Spursy’
