Thoughts?

I don't know a single person who doesn't regard Yaya as one of the best midfielders in the world. Don't see the issue myself.

He is drawing comparisons between himself and Iniesta, Xavi and Messi.
3 players who play for Barcelona, one of the biggest teams on earth.
If he played for Barcelona still then he would be known more world wide.
I'm not sure who he wants recognition from.

Plays in the PL - check.
Earns huge amounts of money - check.
Plays for his country - check.

Still moans - check.

Get some perspective you tool.

The same could be said of several other players who if they weren't playing at the same time as Messi and Ronaldo might have more recognition. Fact is we've got two of the best players of the last forty years playing at the moment.

Being African didn't stop George Weah winning the Balon d'Or.

He's a good player but he needs to collect a few medals like Messi and Ronaldo have done before he can be considered at that level.

I think he probably has a point to be honest.

He's a cracking player and while I understand where' he's coming from, them's the breaks. However, picking Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi and Iniesta for your moan probably isn't the wisest choice - medals galore, goals aplenty & even similar or better annual stipend (and that's saying something given he will be in the top 3 earners at City).

Aye. Go to a proper club not a plastic one, win some medals, profit.

Or even do it for an extended period (and/or in a position of adversity). A decent couple of years at Barca and a couple of good years at City do not make a great player. Doesn't even compare to someone like Gerrard (regardless of colour, creed or birthplace) since he's spent a large part of his career often dragging some total pony to places it should never have been. Toure's been good for 3 years or so in teams where he damn well should have been good.

Great player on his day, however doesn't put enough effort in for me. Has too many games where he's absolutely missing!

Not on par with ronaldo/Suarez/bale/Ibra/messi

Just read the article, and seen he would be disappointed if he didn't win pfa player of he year. I think it would be an absolute farce if that isn't handed to Luis Suarez this year (this coming from a huge united fan)!!

He's delusional. I agree, Suarez has been the best player in the PL for this season and probably last season too. I don't like Liverpool but if he doesnt win it I'll be amazed. Toure isn't in the same league
