2 years ago we couldn't even beat Tamworth in the league.

There is no team in the country that have been in the same form as Stevenage over the last 3 years.

What's even better, we're a club making profit and competing way above where we should be.

Feeling shattered at work today but what a trip and transformation we've been through.

Bring on Spurs on Sunday.

...Not to mention the 3 times we've been to the New Wembley biggrin

Yep, Exeter seem to be simialar to us to be fair.
I was impressed by you lot first game of the season and I'm pretty surprised to see you where you are. Hopefully we don't just have a honey moon season in this league.

Don't be too delighted.

The Sheffield quad is on for us :P

Top win for you lot against Huddersfield and it got that tosspot Lee Clark sacked too.

I ought to be pleased that beating us still means something to people!
2 years ago (6/2/10), we lost away to Tamworth in non league (only drew with them earleir in the season too) in front of 841 (I was there) - probably makes things worse for you.

3 years ago, we were away to Weymouth. 6 of Tuesday nights starting 11 featured in that game.

Every win in this league means something to us biggrin

Fair play to you mate, its well deserved

Right now I'd sell a kidney to get out of this league (with or without the pigs ! rolleyes)
Cheers pal. JJ looked pretty useful for you lot against us. We don't have much pace in our defence. Dreading if Lennon or Bale make an appearance on Sunday!

An excellent performance by Stevenage today - I may just have a flutter on them for a play off final win smile
Cheers, should have got the job done though - had a few efforts from 20 yards, usually those two lads that had the chances (Byrom and Bostwick) are pretty tasty from there - and Don Cowan really should have done better with his chance at the end. Can't see Spurs under estimating us again, but then agian, our away form is incredible. Bring on the lane.

Got to thank Scott PArker for his goal line block of Saha's shot.

Now the Cup run 'distraction' is out of the way, time to get back in the play off race and get this third straight promotion.

We're doing a top job of bottling any chance we had of the playoffs. A few weeks ago we could have gone 2nd with our games in hand.

We're out of it.

Silly amount of injuries to strikers. New manager not quite working yet. (I think we've drawn 8 out of the last 10)

Still hoping to get something off of the Blades. Would be pretty awesome to be unbeaten against Sheffield.

So many of our fans are saying we should be competing in the playoffs as the standard between league 2 and 1 is so similar... the other 3 teams that came up don't seem to agree.

I'll be heading up to Shef. On Sky Sports now but hopefully the £10 entry will bring in a large number.

For us to have any hope when it comes to Sheffield, we need to beat Carlisle and Brentford in our next 2 games, both are at home.
Last game is at home to Bury, WWLW would see us needing Notts County to drop points in 2 of their last 3 games.

And again yesterday! A couple of superb performances to get us back in it.

Kind of hoping this Ched Evans thing has really affected the blades and we can steal a win there which opens the door for Wednesday and we can kick United when they're down in the playoffs biggrin

Mind you, we're only just in there. 2 dubious penalties for Brentford and they hit the woodwork from both at 0-0! Our second is worth a watch, screamer.

As Shef United v Stevenage is on TV, Wednesday can actually go second on Saturday (and hopefully not just for a couple of hours).

I think I'd prefer United in the playoffs, I feel the 6-1 aggregate 'bumming' of Wednesday would fire you up enough for revenge.

Edit - Got to make it there first though. We needed 10 points from a possible 12 a few games ago. Wouldn't surprise me if we get the draw at United and bottle it against Bury (we are due an average season at least cool).

Bury fan here just got ourselves safe on Sat was worried we would need to beat you at your place last game of the season. That would not have been likely, mind you could be a repeat of last year last game as well 3-3 biggrin
That 3-3 last year was epic. Schumacher's goal was incredible. Had a lot of respect for your fans that clapped our players and sang "up with the Bury" - so I'm glad you lot managed to stay up after looking so stable at one point and in freefall the next. Unfortunately Ryan Lowe spoke a lot of st about us during the playoffs but he then pissed off to Wednesday and got beasted by us, so we got the last laugh (until he scores against us in the playoffs at least!).

Shef United have sold out tomorrow I beleive.

One of their 'club legends' has come out saying he pitys us as we won't be able to cope with the "wall of noise" in the ground.

Obviously doesn't know we've been to White Hart Lane (and taken the lead there) this season. Having these 10,000 extra plastics (half of whom won't even know who we are) will be expecting United to trounce us and so aree likely to get on their players backs if things aren't going to plan.

It's all set up for an away win (famous last words).

...We're even trolling their "red and white day" with blue balloons and confetti.

That was ace. Gutted we threw away the two goal lead but I'd have snapped anyones hand off for a point after seeing the Notts County score.

Highlights up on the Beeb.

Why Shroot (32) didn't shoot first time when put in by freeman (15) I'll never know frown

That is incredible. 'Only' 17,000 of you showed up for our Valentines Day date - which is still double our highest ever crowd (Newcastle, FA Cup '98).

Puts things into perspective for us. We're punching so far above our weight.

Should this be renamed 'The League One Thread'?

Congratulations to Wednesday.

My prediction was nearly correct. We got one point instead of my predicted zero.

My prediction for the playoffs;

Stevenage beat United
MKDs beat Huddersfield

MKDs beat Stevenage and go up.
Boo. I see James Beatie has gone and done us a favour by getting himself sent off? He changed the game last weekend.

Stunned we've made the playoffs given the length of our cup run and losing our manager mid season. Genuinely don't see why we can't do it now.

Balls.

Impressed by the majority of blades that clapped our players at the end.

However, its the minority that invaded the pitch only to goad us that can FRO.

3 great trips to Sheffield though and I hope United stay down just so we can have another weekender up there.
