The unofficial Blackpool thread
Discussion
Well it's Blackpool and we don't do official......
So tom ince will probably leave in the transfer window, but I hope he'll stay until the end of the season atleast, if we don't make it into the play off places this year the momentum will probably be lost, hoping for Blackpool vs palace in the play offs
Main question now is who will go in the transfer window and who the can bring in.

Well once hasn't gone yet, but still could.
Really need to get the managerial situation sorted out, it's starting to drag on too long with a temporary appointment.
For holloway to leave for palace and Appleton to leave so soon after taking charge you have to wonder what is going on behind the scenes at the club for this to happen.

Well Oysten only has to keep his phone off for another 12 days and he will have gone past another transfer window.
Looks likely that this is the planRuss35 said:
As you say, we need to get this manager position sorted by either putting Thommo in charge full time, or getting somebody in. we have to many good players out of contract in the summer. We need to be able to show them who will be in charge next season to hopefully get them to re-sign.

Nothing new to us but will hopefully show to other people how we are really run.
I haven't got a problem with owners of football clubs taking money from the business, in fact it should be seen as a good thing at a properly run business, until it becomes detrimental as it has at Blackpool. Becoming a yoyo team had the potential for the owners and the club to take the financial gains.http://www.football365.com/faves/8398658/When-Frug...

Oyston snr has always had a bit of a wide boy image, nothing really surprises me with his monetary dealings.
Incoming Increase in Tv money and the other financial gains of the premier league should have made promotion a higher priority than it appears to have been for the board IMHO

To be positive for a moment... That's pretty much what everyone said when IH was appointed. Let's hope the outcome is largely the same! It's a make or break appointment for club and for Ince though.
Holloway did very well for us and so did Grayson before him, Appleton is showing promise with rovers. Unfortunately getting a manager who brings success on our budget/size/desirability to manage etc is a trick that can only be realistically be pulled off so many times.I'm not against inces appointment, I hope he can do well for us.
I'm wondering though if Carl oyston was waiting for the transfer window to shut before appointing a manager to avoid buying or if ince was overlooked or well down a list of potential managers.

Will Watt hit the nail on the head in the Gazette last week. From a full stadium, great atmosphere and kids wearing tangerine to half empty seats, protests and a disjointed, lackluster team. I was always quick to remind people that a modern football club is basically a business to make profit for the owners, but even I am disappointed by the BFC owners' attitude.
We had the chance to be a football team and a business a few years ago under holloway, a bit of spending then wouldn't have left the club in the dire situation it is in now if there had been an attempt to get back into the premier league, success into the premier league managed well for a club like blackpool had the chance to be profitable aswell. Ok there are a few ifs and buts in that
