Well "they", the "best clubs" used to go there when Luton finished very high up in the top flight league (3rd or 4th?, I know google would answer it). I am not a Luton fan (in fact watched live as Luton lifted their only Wembley trophy against the team I support) but would love to see them promoted.

Twig I think you are being a little agelast in your attitude. FFS I can remember Chelsea not being a top flight team and in your definition "unworthy", smile, laugh and enjoy that a club that has had success before can do some good without having a billionaire owner or two.

I am pleased for them. There is a reasonable chance that the dream of new stadium can be built now, 9 years after Luton being in the conference, just by winning games. If they do manage to build it, I hope it could be called the Twig stadium.

My father in law was a lifelong Luton supporter and in the 80's had his company advertising on the hordings there. He died in March, I am an atheist but right now I hope he is looking down at this, it is amazing.

Looking forward to the Luton - Chelsea fixture next season.

Indeed, games will only be played if the ground meets the requirements. One of two things will happen, the ground won't have it's certification and Twig will be cock a hoop with I told you so or the games will be played safely according to regulations and Twig will find some nuance to prattle on about to give him an Internet win.

In the mean time what a phoenix from the flames story. From top flight football to non league and then back to top flight. Congratulations LTFC
