Well, every other bugger is doing it, so why not... Granted, there are only 2 1/2 people on PH who support the Toffee's, but at least we can't be described as glory hunters...

Anyway, awaiting the UEFA game on Fox soccer channel, but reading along on the text. Looks like a good game, but why the hell do we make it so difficult? As soon as we get an attacking team, our defence, which has been great the last few years, decide to start playing ste. I don't think we'll be anywhere near relegation, but bloody hell, they really like to make it a trial!

Yakubu looks like a bargain at 11 mill. 21 goals last season, and he's just got his 4th this season. Cahill is back, which is much needed, as is Peanut, as soon as he's fit.

So, gave away VERY soft goals... Lescott and Neville very much wanting for their first, and Yobo doing god knows what with their second. Still, at least our goals were fairly stunning. Yak's goal was sublime, and great passing from Arteta and Osman, and Cass... Bugger me, what a strike! Apparently Liege conceded 19 goals last season, and we scored 2 in 40 minutes. Not bad I think. Hopefully our form will continue, and we'll beat them at their gaff. Problem is that they might just park the bus... Damn the away goal rule!

I reckon we should move Lescott over to centre back, and brink in Baines to replace him. Yobo seems to be very suspect at the moment.

Still 9th, but we haven't played any 'top' teams yet. We are struggling with teams that we should be able to beat.

Can't see us winning that either... Going to be a very poor season I think. Don't think we'll be relegated, and I think we'll be in the top half, but still... It's going to be disappointing.

Yup... I think Moyes and the board need to stop messing about with the contract. Sign it, or do something. Hell, even Moyes says it is affecting the players. 2005 all over again.

I think it is more than that. We aren't passing, we aren't defending, and although we finally have strikers that can score, the defense seems to be our major weakness...

Well that was a surprise.. 3 goals in 4 minutes, and a hell of a Saha strike. Looks like Moyes knew exactly what he was doing bringing Saha to GP. 3 goals in 2 games. Looks like he could be quite the steal.

It is such a contrast to last season, where we were heading to games against anyone, and expecting a result. This season, it's nowhere near that. I am frankly amazed we are still 7th.
