Correct. Never thought I'd see the day when Blackpool would be back in the top league (I was 2 the last time we were there - '70/'71 season)
Probably be only a short visit, but we will enjoy it and hopefully the future and infrastructure of the club will be secure for a few years to come.
Just need to find some money so I can afford some of the away ticket prices.
It's going to be interesting now a character like Holloway is in the PL, I like his no nonsense down to earth 'take' on things and think he could upset a few bertie big bks clubs. He's a freind of Kenny Jackett by all accounts.Probably be only a short visit, but we will enjoy it and hopefully the future and infrastructure of the club will be secure for a few years to come.

Back to the Championship. I can see the likes of Pompey dropping down again, that's if they are still in business. Have Palace sorted out their finances? I think Cardiff, Forest and Boro could be in the run for promotion and all the promoted teams will be knocking around mid table to the edge of the play-offs.

I think we're still a few players short for the playoffs yet, but its still a long way to the start of the season. So far we've signed Kasper Schmicheal, Billy Paynter and Paul Connolly on free's but we still need another striker, left and centre midfielders, and a left back. There's so many rumours about who we may be signing at the moment, 95% will be dross though.
I'm sure lots will be pleased to see us back
Another striker aye? Could the Paynter signing be a prelude to coaxing Austin away from Swindon?

Decent piece in the Guardian about expectations for the new season
Love it, half the clubs who haven't played Millwall have tipped us for relegation. I notice the two that did play us were in the other camp. Love the underdog tag.Decent piece in the Guardian about expectations for the new season
Anyway six days to go now, membership purchased, looking forward to a few trips to new grounds.
Crap day at the office for us with a rare defeat at Leeds, credit though, they deserved it. Now looking foward to Boro at home on Tuesday in the cup and Coventry in the league on Saturday. Would have taken 6 from 9 before the start of the season, so I'm happy enough with the progress so far.

It's a very strange league, I was a bit concerned after watching us come apart v Watford, however after recent results the inconsistancy points at you're more liable to get punished for mistakes at this level.
Very pleased with the result at QPR tonight and breaking our normal habit of conceding late goals, now looking forward to Burnley at home this Saturday.

Leicester, can see them making a charge under Sven. Plus will probably spend in January.
Not a bad side, who can pass it around. However they have no one who can score, they could have played all week and not scored. Truelly the worst team in front of goal I've seen at The Den in a long while.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
