Maybe so, i could be wrong but when i was looking for a 02 bugeye with the updated bits, all the equivalent wagons were cheaper, not hugely, but I remember thinking at the time it might be cheaper/more sensible to get the wagon, but then screw sensible, i have a Lolvo for that! :O)PsBuckshot>The cambelt is involved. +1 for the cambelt, one of the tensioners is quite expensive can't remember which one but i do remember thinking "ouch"

They don't look bad in the flesh but there are too many for my taste.
Any guides on changing the cam belt or best to let a garage do it?

Cambelt was changed at 40k miles, 60k on clock now.

Called admiral and they were being really ish with me because I'm young.
I paid it off in one go and I'll be collecting the car on friday but go on..have a guess. It was £1280ish before I spoke on the phone to buy it.

£1750, the online quote was bks. The guy I was speaking to kept saying it has to change because I'm young....then why quote that much online?
Keith Michaels, A-Plan or Direct Line. These are the cheapest i know of for Impreza, modified or standard, and i've had my Impreza insured under each one of these at some stage. They are all very close on quotes for me anyway between £500-£600 fully comp.
The other option, and what i have right now is a fully comp traders policy. Not cheap initially but i've got several cars on the one policy with no effective limits on the numbers of cars i can add, and customer cars are covered fully comp too as is my trailer. When you break it down to the numbers of cars i have insured it works out much cheaper than a private individual or multi-car policy.
I've got my policy via The Insurance Factory (Broker) and Tradewise is the underwriter.
