Subaru Legacy tuned by STi, and its variants
Discussion
The car has finally arrived in the UK over Christmas. It has cleared customs and should be with Mike at Torque GT next week. I was in Japan prior to Xmas so had the auction buyer send all books and the gear knob to me while I was there. The car has a full-service history and all books including the original S402 portfolio.
Fingers crossed the thieves on the docks haven't nicked anything like they did on my Evo where they helped themselves to the Ralliart gear knob and rear speakers (stock factory speakers, worthless!)

What a beauty!
I'm looking at importing an Impreza through Torque GT - how would you rate the experience? I assume you've collected the car from them by now. How long after it arriving in the UK were they able to register the car and release it to you?
TorqueGT are first class, trustworthy, professional and responsive . Mike handled my TME impport and now the S402. You wont find a better company to handle your import. The 402 is still with Mike as I cannot register it until its 10 yrs old. This is because the car went down the STi line and some of the Subaru codes needed to register the car under the IVA scheme have been removed. Mike knew this and warned me before the car even left Japan such is the depth of his knowledge on importing into the UK. Collected our STi S402 a couple of weeks ago from TorqueGT. An absolutely sublime car to drive, feels light, nimble and dynamically very sharp with a super tight 6 speed manual STi gearbox. A complete antidote to two M5's that came before it and exactly the kind of fun drive I was looking for now that Snowdonia is our weekend playground. It is remarkable how dulled down cars have become in just a decade, I don't know what is made in 2018 that could replace this.

Not much to update really. The car is fantastic but rarely driven, it does less than 100 miles a month so I am contemplating selling it at some point because it is just a waste. I ride a bike everywhere and as the S402 is a second car I rarely drive it.
TorqueGT gave the underbody the full monty at my request. Pressure cleaned, hand detailed and then several applications of Dinitrol and something else I don't recall. It will be fine for many years.
Cheers

A fellow recently sent me this link with some great photos of my 402 that I didn't know existed. Torque GT took these pics before I collected it.
