Hopefully one of you chaps will be able to help me out.

My trusty family steed is a 150K mile Legacy Spec B - Leggy by name, leggy by nature..

It's just had a major service with my local mechanic - including 6 new NGK irridium tipped spark plugs as well as disks, pads, caliper refurb, new bushes blah blah blah - £1500 quid was the damaage.

However having got it back it now ticks over at very low RPM and hunts up and down whether hot or cold - and more worryingly it stalls when you come to a standstill - even with the clutch fully depressed. Clutch still has plenty of life in it.

My mechanic has had it back all day today - gone back over what was done to it during the service but it's still occuring.
He's plugged it into the diagnostic but it's not showing any fault codes.

He's getting frustrated as he can't find the problem - and I need it sorted quickly.

Anyone got any suggestions that I can pass onto him?

The plugs were apparently fked - but honestly new ones didn't seem to make that much of a difference.
The plugs were just part of a 1500 spendo which included new pads and discs all round, new front callipers, big service including plugs and new suspension bushes. A lot of money to chuck at a 150,000 mile 'muddy bikes and tip wagon' - but I do love the car...

If you are doing the plugs disconnect the neg for the duration - then do the ecu reset otherwise you will have a horribly lumpy idle and the stalling issue that I had. Let me know if you want the process for resetting the ecu - it's pretty long winded!
