Hello all
Registered specifically to ask this question.
I have a 98 subaru legacy estate thats an absolute shed. But I need it to run for another couple of months.
The fuel filler pipe is completely rotten. It had a small leak and when I investigated it fell apart in my hands.
I know this is a common problem because there is a silly plastic guard which traps all the mud and road salt.
I tried replacing the bad bit with some rubber hose but its just to far gone nothing there to clamp onto and there are holes all over the thing anyway.

My problem is sourcing a replacement. The breakers seem to have none in stock (probably because the pipe on these cars is always knackered by time the car is scrapped)
Had a look on ebay. All I can find is a parts dealer located in the USA. The part itself is cheap enough, even with shipping I imagine it will come to less than 150 quid?? I'v emailed him to ask about shipping anyway but I'm not sure about customs and excise etc for imported car parts.
Is it going to be cheaper to just get the part from a dealer?
Also I'm not sure if the part will even fit as its from a 94 LHD model. So it might not fit at all.
Any advice on the above would be greatly appreciated.

Have right mind to just make up my own pipe from radiator hose and tap a fitting into it for the breather but its almost not worth the hassle.

Thanks for the advice and the link!
Found out the part number and its the same as on most Subarus of that era so have ordered it from there.
Thanks a million!
Just need to find a single steel wheel now and I'll be sorted
