I'm glad to see you're not sat on the fence, but you're not doing yourself any favours posting in the manner seen here.

Tread softly please.
sorry, point taken ....
A1, maybe have another drink or two, but step away from the climate threads for the moment, as normally your posts do appear coherent and useful!

I wish it was always that easy

Having thought about it, I'm going to laugh because of course we'll all be getting our tax back.

I'll second that too.

ouch....

<2009> Briffa:

I find myself in the strange position of being very skeptical of the quality of all present reconstructions, yet sounding like a pro greenhouse zealot here!
<2775> Jones:

I too don’t see why the schemes should be symmetrical. The temperature ones
certainly will not as we’re choosing the periods to show warming.

I haven't got the file yet, the russian server appears to be down, so I'm only reading what others are quoting.

Has anyone got a link or perhaps email it to me, it's time to get all this on the torrents.

IPCC: BURNT Toast

It's really hard to imagine that after the last release he would be daft enough to commit that sentiment to email. Paper or a phone call maybe but to email???

I found this site's download link worked better than the earlier links.

Nope - russian servers still not playing for me.

Any chance you would email me a copy?

Thanks.

Interview: Dr. Nils-Axel Mörner
Claim: That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud
"Tide gauging is very complicated, because it gives different answers for wherever you are in the world. But we have to rely on geology when we interpret it. So, for example, those people in the IPCC [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change], choose Hong Kong, which has six tide gauges, and they choose the record of one, which gives 2.3 mm per year rise of sea level. Every geologist knows that that is a subsiding area. It’s the compaction of sediment; it is the only record which you shouldn’t use."
I'm sat here in amazement looking at a 30 cm ruler, gazing relentlessly at the first 2.3mm.

Having been to the sea side on more than one or two occaisions and seen the waves lapping or crashing at the shore line, I'm wondering just how the fkety fk fk fk you can measure a 2.3mm rise in sea level.

My only conclusion is that these scientists aren't scientists at all, no, they are the Gods of Gods and we should all fall to our knees before them and praise their religion.

I feel sick....

bd... now I'm going to have to go read it again properly... hehe

I think there were some remarks made about the timescales, and also about the Fourier analysis made.

Fourier maths is well out of my league, but I understand the priciples as my old fella uses a lot of Fourier analysis in analysing sheer stress on arterial walls.

So, as I understand it Fourier analysis is used to describe wave forms/cycles, be those very short term stretches in your arterial wall due to your heart pumping, or be they much longer climate changes recorded in tree rings - Fourier is what is/can/maybe used.

I think I know what it can describe, how it can describe it, but I'm no where near clued up enough to actually work through the maths.

shame on me

Quietly in my own mind, I've always believed that 'sustainable' just meant you could get a grant for it.
