Is it my imagination or the sky Incredibly clear tonight?
Discussion
I went to an astronomy/star gazing evening last night here in Somerset.
I only have a pair of celestron binoculars, but I was amazed at what I could see through them.
The guy holding the event bought along a very nice telescope, which he aligned to Jupiter.
The image was amazing, you could see 4 of its moons, and Jupiter itself was so clear, you could see the rings around it easily, most impressed!
I need a telescope!

Our astronomy society hosted an even at the RSPB lodge in Sandy, Beds. I only have a pair of celestron binoculars, but I was amazed at what I could see through them.

About 25 people turned up, we couldn't have asked for better skies!

His telescope is even better than Hubble if that's the case. Even Hubble can't see the Rings of Jupiter.I only have a pair of celestron binoculars, but I was amazed at what I could see through them.

Were you actually looking at the atmospheric bands of Jupiter?
