Unfortunately, you can never use DNA to prove evolution over creationism.

Creationist argument.....I have a VW Golf, my wife has a Passat. It's obvious that they are closely related, but they didn't evolve from a Beetle. They were both designed and built by the same people. Of course a chimp and a human are closely related in DNA, the same bloke designed both!!

You can never use any science to disprove god, because it isn't a fair fight. You're putting common sense and reason and evidence up against make believe and magic and superstition. Magic and make believe will trump reason every time.
