Blue Origin finally has a web shop, so you can now get some of their merchandise.

https://shop.blueorigin.com/

If only their boss knew anything about online sales they'd have had this years ago.

Quite reasonably priced too really, Unlike SpaceX.

That's extortionate.

They seem to like having a low profile. They don't even have an address for press correspondence apparently. The shop at the NASA visitors centre at Cape Canaveral didn't have an Blue Origin merch when I was there. There was loads of NASA stuff as you'd imagine, but plenty of SpaceX gear too.

That would be so cool. Jeff could totally spring for that.

Florida is very flat and low lying. Also prone to heavy downpours now & then. They'll be drainage retention ponds to cope with storm surges running off from the car parks, roof etc.

In that area, definitely. I saw one lurking in the water just north of there.

The geography of that bit of Florida is such that you have a water table just below the surface, any excavation will fill with water likely they were created to build up the level where the factory is.

This its why the LC-39 launch pads were built up rather than excavated out, it is also the reason why sea walls don't work against hurricanes there the water simply goes under them.

Looks like they finally got off the ground today. Can’t say I’m too bothered given their glacial rate of progress...

Yes, that particular rocket's 7th flight.

It was running some test gear for NASA to do with an autonomous landing system, which made it slightly more interesting that usual.

Hopefully it helped with the lunar landings, having said that, that could be considered a piggyback payload, they need to start putting humans on board. I keep watching them and it is starting to make me cringe when the lady commentator keeps going on about how "at this point the astronauts will be in in micro G and doing high fives and back flips" when that seems far off.

To be fair, with Team Musk going full pelt it would make it seem slow. They have a great reliable rocket though, so perhaps they can send a monkey up in it like the good old days.

NASA has awarded a NASA Launch Services (NLS) contract to Blue Origin to potentially use their New Glenn rocket.

The contract allows Blue Origin to compete for missions through Launch Service Task Orders issued by NASA.

They'd better start doing something more than just sending rockets straight up and down.

Jeff Bezos has renamed the Blue Origin landing ship after his mum, Jacklyn. She was there to ceremonially smack it with a champagne bottle.

Both seen here with a handy scale model, complete with New Glenn booster onboard.
