Pad 39A is certainly getting a good work out these days.

Even at the height of the Apollo and Shuttle programmes it was never used so frequently.
I was just thinking the same. the frequency of flights does appear to be ramping up.

Its a bit 'out there' - but still directly Spacex related.

Spacex do a range of hoodies and fleeces etc as per the link:

https://shop.spacex.com/mens/outerwear/spacex-blac...

Mrs Paolow bought me one (shipping was $30 on top in case you were wondering) and its very nice!
Sadly after having it a month with regular wearing - my brother remains the only person I have interatcted with who actually knows what Spacex is - and thats only because I shared my own interest with him.

It still baffles me that Spacex is still so unknown amongst the public given what they are seeking to achieve - though I suppose not everyone is not going to have the same interests...

Limited coverage by mainstream media.

If stuff isn't put in front of people - they won't see it.

People like us seek this stuff out. Most people don't - so they aren't aware.

Bump for the fanbase.

Tonight will see Spacex launch an Inmarsat satellite though it will be too heavy to allow fuel for a return landing.

I dont know I will be awake for this one - though best of luck!

Launch is at 19:27 ET

Too late for me I'm afraid. I need to get up at a reasonable time tomorrow.

Note the green flame as the engines ignited - I guess they use TEB ( Tetra Ethyl Borane ) to help establish combustion

Minor bump - Spaceflight now reporting the weather is 70% favourable and the launch is planned for 17:55 (assumed eastern time)...

I reckon it should be visible chasing the Space Station over the next day or so. The ISS is making very favourable passes at the moment.

Oooo. I saw this a few years ago, 'twas awsome. Is there an alert I can subscribe to that will remind me?

Heavens Above is the site I tend to rely on. They won't have the Dragon flight listed yet and I don't know how soon after launch it will appear on their site.
