Another really clear pass tonight with the Moon and Venus in frame as well.
Managed to get half our cycling club out in the gardens with the kids in tow through posting on facebook, i think the adults enjoyed it more than the kids!!!!!!

Wow! That was the best pass I have seen for a long long time!
Was too slow tonight...
But saw something that was even more impressive (although maybe not something astronomers want see). A stream of 13 satellites - maybe Elon's work?

From tonight:

Crescent Moon, Venus and the ISS by Mike Gardiner, on link.photo

ISS through the trees by Mike Gardiner, on link.photo

Bit of a wobble at the start of the trail on the second photo due to me rushing to get the tripod grounded in a hurry after moving from the first location, pushed the button before it had properly sat down.

Yes Musks work, just been watching them, I think there was actually 18-20, some were running in parallel. I’m sure I got the below link from here but can’t find the post, with the street view makes it easy to find them. Might have to take my daily walk later and see I can spot iss.

Watched it tonight. Very little cloud and good clear sky.
Might try a camera tomorrow or over the next few nights.

Bit pony. I rarely use my camera these days so it’s very hit and miss.

That's nice. Is that the Pleiades I can see in the lower picture?

Yes I think so. The other bright star is Aldebaran which is absolutely huge.

Though I'd include a link to this video too if nobody minds. Similar vein to the above. It has Orion, Venus, The Moon, Aldebaran, Sirius, The Pleiades and an ISS pass at 23 seconds along with what I imagine are quite a few other satellite passes.

Nice video. When I initially looked I thought, why isn't Orion upside down as it's Wellington?

Then I noticed it's Wellington, Somerset and not Wellington, New Zealand.

Doh!

Good pass of the starlink satellites at 8:43 in the south tonight. 38 satellites passing overhead in a line in close formation.

https://james.darpinian.com/satellites/

Should look pretty impressive.

Lots of star link as well. I can see why ground based astronomers are pissed.
