I think one would be too many for MC Eric, was this forum his 'baby' ?
Certainly not. He resisted it, and just wanted it to carry on in the boats and train section, (never understood that logic).

Ah OK, I just thought he might have been one of the crew pestering the mods for a science forum and then when he got it sitting at his
computer with steam coming out of his ears when he saw threads about water divining and psychic dogs...lol

Absolutely not.

What I wanted was the boats, planes and trains forum to be renamed so that space (especially space technology) could be included in it, as there was plenty of space chat going on there already.

Now that we have a dedicated Science forum though, I'm quite happy - as long as we discuss science.

you can't argue with 'woo'. There's a woman on a local forum who is a 'Feng shui Master' who I've argued with numerous times on the subject of her 'woo'. she regularly trots out that she's a'master' in Feng Shui as her top trump card as if that's supposed to give her opinion any more weight than someone elses. What she did reveal was that she'd spent £100k 'training' with the Grand Feng Shui Master in China to get her credentials. Seriously, if you've spent £100k on something you are hardly going to turn around at the end and say "you know what, this is complete horsest". Of course, the only evidence she provides that Feng Shui works are anecdotes and she expects everyone else to prove her wrong.

Her and her ilk charge between £300-£600 to come round and tell you where to position your furniture.
Lol, she's just crawled out of the woodwork on this local article about Norovirus;

Before people start to panic, go and get yourselves some wild oil of oregano from the holistic place in the main Tesco they are the only ones who sell it in this area of the Fylde coast. This clears viruses better than antibiotics, it comes in capsule form or actual oil ranging from £5.99 to £60. Its airborne dont blame the hospitals or the hotels schools or anyone else. Just stop sneezing over everyone and coughing over them use your tissues and cup your mouth its only good manners. Its the only way to clear it quickly it can be injested or used with a base oil for excema etc, it kills bacteria like black walnut clears worms parasites in the gut etc.

What is annoying me is that they seem to be far too common. There are almost as many pseudo science based threads as real science.
In what field of accountancy is 6 almost as many as 53 ?
Does MMGW get included in the 'science' or 'pseudo-science' category here?biggrin
I'd put it in the 'complete bks' category biggrin
