In HD as well.
The later Apollo footage from the surface of the moon was pretty good. Although I always bemoan the fact that it was shot in the not so sharp American NTSC standard TV format. It would have been better, even then, if it had been to the European PAL or SECAM formats.
Some of the footage from more modern lunar probes such as NASA's LRO or Japan's Selene are pretty impressive.
And this is already ten year old footage.

looks so incredibly fake, like a plastic model. strange quite how clear everything is without an atmosphere.

It is real - no doubt about it. The issue is that Hollywood style CGI is very good these days as far as image rendering is concerned so it's not always clear whether something has been shot genuinely or is CGI.
Selene was deliberately crashed onto the moon when its mission ended.
haha yes not denying the validity. the footage is quite incredible. Will prob leave on for a good portion of the day Selene was deliberately crashed onto the moon when its mission ended.

Looking at Spaceflight Now, although several are listed as TBD, there are six Space X launches potentially scheduled for May & June including a Falcon Heavy.
It's quite an operation now.

They conducted 18 successful launches in 2017. That is pretty impressive for a single company. It's quite an operation now.

Saw the launch from the spare bedroom window again last night, always cool to see, however the return was to far to see the re-entry burn as it was a barge landing.
Hopefully I'll get to see the FH launch again, but may be on holiday and could miss it, the date is yet to be confirmed, but looks like 13th June (I'll miss that).

, accuracy spot on.
7 weeks till next FH launch. Yes 7 weeks until the monster rises again!
Things at SpaceX seem to be really stepping up, despite what obstructions are thought up by the naysayers.
Long may it continue.
Just over two until the first Block 5 launch... That will be interesting!7 weeks till next FH launch. Yes 7 weeks until the monster rises again!
