The actual pic of the fire in the passenger door used in that made-up newsletter, was doing the rounds on Facebook a while ago. That’s how you know it’s total bullst. Bbc are dheads
I'd have thought if one was gonna pop it'd more likely be one left on the dashboard rather than a door pocket? (Spot the van driver with the obligatory 35lbs of crap on the dash)

Which just goes to show how bad many aspects of Hi-Vis Jobsworth H&S has become when stuff like this isn't fact checked. The NHS one above for example, they think the flashpoint is the same as the autoignition point, when there's hundreds of degrees between them.

I bet (without checking) that pic has previously been used as a mobile phone lithium fire scare story. Do you remember when they were doing the rounds? Samsungs igniting mid-flight etc

Staggering isn't it? I expect the BBC will move on to how burglars are marking houses to let other burglars know whether there's an alarm or dogs. Public spirited folks these burglars, always looking out for one another rolleyes

I'm sure they were mostly peaceful vehicle fires.

I left a half full bottle in the small change square on the center console of my car the other day when it was 34c outside, the bottle has deformed and taken the shape of the rectangular pocket at the bottom of the bottle and the top has ballooned outwards.

Squirted a bit on my hand and the gel felt like lava (i imagine...)

I've had mini bottles of hand sanitizer in the van for years...
Same here + wife all of a sudden worried about it! Don't watch so much BS telly as I keep telling her.
