But if the 'Big Bounce' theory is correct then why would the universe be expanding at an accelerating rate?

Yeah, the DM article was recent so I added in the other as well.

If there is evidence for a big crunch then it goes against the evidence that the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate.

calculated mass of the universe, speed it's expanding is faster than the determined escape velocity therefore it shouldn't slow down and collapse under it's own gravity.

Is how I believe they determined it
