@Hoofy it was stolen off a 1997 328, and seeing how much an OEM replacement is (£1600 just for the part) I am wondering whether it was stolen to order.

@Penelope Stopit I like that idea, especially if you can use the antitheft dye that cash boxes use.

Amazing

I think from outside the box but never gave that a thought

Overlooking the obvious is........

Suggest you delete your above method and get it on the market

Diagram for the electrics is now in the trash bin
I'll try to remember you when I'm at the top and sponsoring an F1 team.

Yes an antitheft dye with a terrible aroma is definitely the way to go

Looks like Hoofy will be going it alone with her/his idea

If you're interested in working on the dye, jets and pump I'll get back to working on the wiring

I didn't realise we had to specify pronouns on here.

Mind you, feel free to use his/her/their. I don't really care.

What caused me to post that was that I was about to post "he" and thought to myself, I don't know if Hoofy is a he or a she

On several occasions I've had people talk of me as though I'm a she yet I'm a he

Well, "Hoofy" if anything would be an "it", but there aren't many its using PH so statistically, I'm likely to be a bloke.

"Penelope"... well...

Sorry to hear this. I have fond memories of my 1996 328i.

This may be my brain making things up but I am sure I read that older cars are targeted because their cats contain higher quantities of the valuable stuff compared to modern cats.
