Hello, I have a pinhole leak in the power steering oil cooling line of 98 Honda prelude. Was just wondering there is a good way of fixing this as I’d prefer not to replace the entire line. JB weld maybe or something like that?

There's no chance of an epoxy based solution working. If it was just a localised leak, you could have fixed it by splitting the line at the leak and using a rubber joiner. The leak you have now is probably just the first symptoms of corrosion failure that will soon erupt into leaks all over the place. Fixing this one leak won't solve that - you need to replace the line.

As above its scrap I was expecting a aluminium rad at first so was going to suggest someone with a tig welder bits that's too fat gone for any lasting repair

Sorry, but that's scrap, but the replacement part can't cost that much.

That poxy bit of pipe won't be doing much cooling either.

I assume the radiator at the side is what does the cooling but could be wrong

So my worst fears are confirmed. I have cut the bend out completely (where the majority of the erosion is) and replaced it with a rubber hose and some jubilee clips for the time being, as I need this as my daily car. Will have to order a replacement part soon. Thanks
