ODB Code Reader for R56 Mini Cooper
Discussion
Hi,
I have bought a 2010 Mini Cooper S last year, and love it.
I want to get more involved with maintaining it, so am interested in diagnostic tool to be able to identify any fault codes
I also want to be able to monitor the engine temperature - as there is no tempo gauge on the dash.
I woulld like a solution that i can use on my mobile phone.
Carly seems good, but is quite expensive for my needs. What would people recomend ?
regards

Carly gets my vote. It isn’t cheap, but it’s bloody good and does a lot of coding as well as code reading! I have bought a 2010 Mini Cooper S last year, and love it.

Very easy to use, plug n plays great app etc
Thanks all,
I've gone for UltraGauge - but via Mobile app as:
a) I think Carly yearly license is too much
b) The UltraGauge device user interface looked a bit fiddly to use + I did want the hassle of running extra wires behind the dash to fit it
c) Really was tempted by Torque.... and that is my backup if this doesnt work well.
