Experiences with Autodoc?
Discussion
Ordered a few parts up early last week. 3 seperate orders over 2 days due to finding more stuff needed as I went. First attempted delivery today but failed because of snow, second two are not even into the UK yet.
What sort of shipping time is normal with them?
The prices for what I needed were much better than I could get from a UK based company but this feels like a joke now. I can get bits from the USA within 4 days!

Wait till you try and send something back
Bought a part that when it arrived was nothing like the part on the car, thought they had sent the wrong one but no, it was the correct part despite being a completely different shape and in no way would fit. They stuck to their guns and said it was the right part, after a couple of weeks of back and forth they agreed to a return but then offered a 70% discount instead, i mean, what bloody use would that be!?! Took over a month from requesting a return to actually getting a refund

I like that you can search for an OEM part number on Autodoc - this can be a godsend Vs the usual UK online motorfactors where sometimes the description doesn't give enough info and you just need to pick a part variant and hope.
I use them mostly for consumable/service parts, I've not needed any spares recently. It fits a niche for me, somewhere between CP4L and dealer parts desks.
Definitely need to plan ahead though! I've had CP4Less parts, ordered at 2am, arrive around 8am in the ECP van. So parts arriving earlier than I'd even be able to get them here if I went to their shop when it opens.
Whereas I think 2 weeks is the quickest I've ever had an AD order.

Cheap
Good availability of parts, even some obscure older stuff
Offer a lot of brands
Efficient to deal with
Discount via the app
Downsides
Shipping is slow
I found it very hard to track
Overall if I wasn't in need of a part quickly, say for a project over a service then I'd use them again but just watch your expectations for time

Not a chance in hell I would use them.
Why?If I heard good reports about item returns then I would be more likely to use them, but the thought of a long drawn out battle to get my money back concerns me.
Also, try clicking that cross in the pop up on their website.....
I use them loads and have never had an issue.
They’re good for planned maintenance because you can factor in the slow shipping time. My orders are dispatched quickly enough but GLS are slow. Due to the slow shipping they’re useless for emergency purchases.
I’ve saved a fair chunk using them and they’re a grid source of OE products for less. I bought a VDO eccentric shaft sensor for my 130i for £170. It arrived and the BMW part number had been ground off. The part from BMW was £325.
One annoying thing is that their prices on the app fluctuate. A B12 suspension kit was £564 yesterday but today it’s £604.
