Halford Battery Warranty
Discussion
Had my latest car eight months and yesterday it started chugging and then stopping, thought it was the alternator but took it this morning to my local mechanic and turns out the battery isn't holding enough charge.
The previous owner said he put a battery in before the last MOT in March. Battery looks brand new so i have no reason to doubt he did.
Anyway the battery is from that great British auto store Halfords and it clearly states it comes with a "Three Year Warranty" on the side.
Basically what i want to know is will Halfords be able to honour the warranty if the battery was bought by the previous owner and how will they tell when it was purchased.
From what Google has thrown up it seems some Halford stores have a different definition of Three Year Warranty than most of the general public or Trading Standards for that matter.
Any help appreciated
