Congratulations.

As someone who has worked in the Bus/Coach industry for nearly 20 Years all that I can say is PLEASE send it back and forget you ever had it.

Unless you are a mouth breather or completely thick it isn't for you.

Sorry.
+1 I managed three years between bus & coach driving, never again.

Did you also tick for C provisional when you sent in the D2 form?

My Dad bought this as I was being born! He ran it for over 10 years.

By the remarkable power of the Internet, we discovered that it had been preserved and went to view it at the Swansea Bus Museum last week.

My PCV licence funded me through university and the College of Law 20 years ago and frankly I had the time of my life.

Good luck OP and everyone else who had passed, all part of life's journey!

Well done mate!

To the others, its an auto licence, which is annoying, but the firm im now tied into for 24 months only has manual vehicles.

No I didnt tick C aswell, bit silly in hindsight but, although it is somthing I would like to do at some point, I cant see myself doing it anytime in the forseeable.

ETA, Thankyou rob, for the glass half full outlook you have, a breath of fresh air if you ask me.

That will mean doing a another medical for LGV if you decide to do it in the future UNLESS you are canny and wait until doing your next D4 medical and apply at that time for C provisional - I suggest doing that anyway even if at the time you do not want LGV

To others reading - ALWAYS tick C & D on the D2 form

I meant they only have autos's, oops!

I had enquired about upgrading to a manual, and was told the best way is to do a manual class C, and that would upgrade me to a D manual aswell.

Congrats,
All you need do now is remember this classic and recite it back to all the passengers.

"I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather. Not screaming in terror like his passengers."

Haha, had a driver tell me that today.

Thankyou!

Also, passing C+E will upgrade you to D+E (and B+E too!)

Also that applies no matter which way around the LGV/PCV tests are done in

one example -
Pass LGV C manual - get C manual
Then pass D auto - get C & D manual
Then pass C+E manual - get C, D, D+E & C+E manual

Cs will upgrade Ds but Ds will not upgrade Cs

If only got B then any +E test passed will get B+E for as long as the B licence remains valid so basically for life
