Ok, probably a dumb question here - is he actually sacking you? By the description in your first post it sounds more like he's is making you redundant than sacking you.
That is also my view

That being the case then the OP has no redundancy rights as he has been there less than a year

+1

sounds like there's just no work rather than you having done something wrong which warrants being sacked.

You don't need 12 months service if the termination is in any way discriminatory.

He owes you 2 weeks pay, thats it. Very few rights until employed 2 years
' i'm selling the wagon , therefore i don't need you ' sounds like redundancy to me ...

He never actually said sacked or redundant just selling your truck will not be needing you again. Got new job next day so if he pays up this week I'll move on.

Which translates to - not required for further service due to not having a job for you to do

Now any relevant law kicks in ..... either statutory law or employment contract law

Is seems no statutory law kicked in due to the length of service

Don't know about the employment contract because we have not been informed what is written in it

We had a saying in the haulage when I worked there, "You're only as good as your last job" so I guess it still applies all these years later
