sounds like there's just no work rather than you having done something wrong which warrants being sacked.

Which translates to - not required for further service due to not having a job for you to doNow any relevant law kicks in ..... either statutory law or employment contract law
Is seems no statutory law kicked in due to the length of service
Don't know about the employment contract because we have not been informed what is written in it
