If you squint I think it's supposed to mimic the rough shape of the Panther on the side of it. Personally I'd send the designer down to Vision Express if they came up with that ...

Guessing that the back of the seat will be at the back of the door.. How much of a blind spot is the front of it, like a bull nose but higher up. Then there's the size and location of the passenger mirror, you could hide a bus in that blind spot if you was pulling into a T junction.

Wouldn't worry about the aerodynamics, it wont be that shape for long
